Is it Kokane?
« on: November 10, 2001, 07:02:38 AM »
Ok, we all know the deal about the song "On the Blvd"...When we first heard it we were all like "Damn, Kokane sounds so dope and different than usual", but now when you look at the booklet, it doesn't credit Kokane in any way, it says Additional Vocals by: Mamie Gunn...At points I REALLY belive it's Kokane, and sometimes I just doubt it's him at all...I don't know, I just think his voice is kinda unusual, and it doesn't sounds exactly like the Kokane we know, what get's me doubting especially is when he's singing (I mean REALLY singing) at the end...Than on the other hand, you can hear the Kokane signature in his voice at SOME points...I', really 50/50 on this...I want everyone to vote and say weather they think it's Kokane or not...Give me a yes or no answer, and a reason if you'd like...Peace

It's Kokane.

He always sound different, from squeeky, to moaing up to rappin.  The could have easily forgot to credit him...people do that a lot.  And this album was rushed so..

Yea its Kokane for sho. you can hear a female backing up his vocals, that must be Mamie Gunn. im assuming she's from Kokane's group Toejam.

I've been saying that from the begining... listen closely and you'll hear her in the backround.

I never doubted it wasn't Kokane... even after the credits.. I knew they must have fucked up.

Didn't I confirm this a couple threads back.... 8) ;)
