Beef is the thing that made rap/hip hop so damn popular. You're telling me that when NWA split, it was bad for rap? Beef is what makes rappers hungry. LL Cool J was on some R&B shit, then that shit with Canibus started, and both artists came out with some heat. That's how it works.

I think the beef that starts on wax then ends up in the streets is retarded, but beef in general is why rap has lasted damn near 25 years.

Beef in general is not the problem. It serves a purpose when it is needed, but today there are too many pointless beefs. You have artists running off at the mouth for the sake of selling records. It's all a numbers game now, and beef is what sells. If you want the pointless beef to stop then stop buying records because some artist claimed he was the best and said the other guy sucks.
