Be sure to let Power know whats up... Don't think that you won't make a difference. The climate is changing. Problem & Bangloose are two New West artists that got played back to back during the 5 pm segment on Power 106 recently. When was the last time 2 unsigned new artists got played back to back?

I feel u...but in 2006, that's just how it has to be. In the last 2-3 years, I'd say that only 8-12% of the mainstream rap songs on radio have been from the West Coast...if that much. And it is SO MUCH political going on for these record stations that they can't play as much west coast music as us true fans want to hear. I was readin the history on Power 106, KDay, and The Beat, and advertisers will not give as much money to record companies if they don't play a certain format of music, because they feel that it limits the audience. So that's why KDay had to start playin more commercial BS when The Beat gave up rap...because in order to take their spot as a major station in LA, which leads to getting more bandwith and satelite strength, they have to play more commercial music that will appeal to everyone in the county.

You know what? I just remembered that AOL radio has a west coast channel 24-7. with very few commercials.
