I'd say Straight Outta Compton, lyrically it's much better and has a lot more memorable tracks thanks to Cube. Even people not into hip hop know of Fuck The Police and the title track.

It's crazy how Dre's production evolved between the two albums though. Went from his World Class Wreckin' Cru electro style beats through to a prototype G-Funk.

str8t outta compton! its started it all....it made gangsta rap popular!...who else said fuck the police? niggaz4life is close...but c'mon? only thing new on that album were the incredible beats....

i love St8 Outta Compton because it was a record that broke shit down for others to follow.  But, I think Niggaz4Life was better because Dre's production evolved so much on that album, IMO...that was another grounding breakin element for future acts to follow.  Even though  Cube may not have been on the second album, Eazy, Dre, and especially Ren stepped thier vocals up big time to compansate.
