Da G Child fo sheezy...I never liked Daz all that much. On his newer shit, like RAW, I feel like his music is a lesser version of what Dre's shit would sound like today if Dre couldn't innovate after 1996. While Dre comes with the new 2001 futuristic shit, Daz does the same old tired ass 1992-1996 style over and over and over again.
Even before that, I always felt that the production on Dogg Food was distinctly shittier than the Chronic and Doggystyle, which is why I never believed it when hardcore Death Row groupies claimed that Daz did all of Dre's work. Whenever Dre left a record label, his sound left with him. After all, where are Yella, Daz, J-Flexx, and Barney Rubble now? Sure, they made a handful of tight tracks on their own (if that), but ain't none of them making serious bank and ain't nobody fucking wid 'em.
Warren G was always tight...Regulate G-Funk era, in my opinion, is one of the greatest records to come out from the west coast ever...I still love that album. Daz ain't done nuthin' like dat.
Just my opinion, so don't hate.
Peace.

i'm kinda doubting daz's skills as of late notice how most of his highlights in producing either had- dre, quik, or mike dean behind them?
anyways i'd have to say warren g. warren is alot more consistant

I feel Warren... Daz's skills lately are very repetive and not very aspiring. Of course I couldn't do better, but I can see that Daz needs to find himself a little better

damn, i cant believe nobody voted for...
DAZ!!!
He definitely gets my vote, i havent liked a warren g album since Regulate, and that includes the new one. He samples way too much, used to be cool, now it isnt.
even tho Daz keeps a similar sound, its a dope sound and i like it. and all his shit is from-scratch which is always a plus to me. DPG is my album of the year so far, Daz & Mike Dean = FIRE

Daz's beats are stuck in the past...(Death Row's).

^have you even heard Dillinger & Young Gotti? i dont hear one song on there that sounds like 'the old days'. shit, it doesnt even sound like Retaliation Revenge and Get Back, which was only 3 years ago. Granted, some of that can be attributed to Mike Dean but come on now.
I think some people here hate on daz purely because he isnt, or hasn't been rolling with Dre and Snoop. thats wack.
