Wow, someones catching feelings...The NBA had nothing to do with Kobe's decision to change his number, he notified them that he wanted it done after he already made the decision on his own, with rumors saying Nike encouraged him to do it due to Adidas re-releasing all of his previous KB8 shoes around the same time Nike was coming out with the Kobe Zoom 1s.
