Kam - Made In America... One Great Westcoast Album
« on: November 01, 2001, 07:12:53 PM »
Today I went through my CD collection... I wanted to listen to an album that wasn't so "Hip POP." I came across my cd

Kam - Made In America

which I bought after Kamnesia came out. I really liked Kamnesia and still do... anyway I popped the cd in my player and put my headphones on while I did my work for school. It was just one of those times when I was relaxed and damn this album was something special. This album is very good, in fact its excellent. Personally I think Kam is a great lyricist. He knows how to put words together. Made In America is one of those album, almost reminds me of a gfunk classic from early last decade. Kam uses some great samples of Snoop in two of his songs and some great beats as well. My favorite song off the album is Represent... for some reason it's just relaxing, but also very hard. I just gotta say this album is hot, a tight westcoast album... Kam came correct, its a westcoast album everyone should think about getting... yet I think its out of print now... its good... very good.

;D

I bought that album about 2 years ago after I heard him on the Eastsidaz cd and I must say that "Made in America" is a classic westcoast cd. He comes tight with the flow and lyrics and check out the producers that back him up on that album.
DJ Quik
Battlecat
Warren G
E A Ski

Made in America is his best cd in my opinion
Kamnesia was really dissapointing to me.

I'm going to change the subject a little, but i wonder how kam feels about the attacks on america... if u listen to the intro on this album, it is very ANTI-AMERICA ... Kam also practices Islamic beliefs... and he mentions a lot of anti-america and anit-white-power stuff...

just wondering what he might think of it

yea i agree with that, actually Kamnesia was kinda WACK to me lol

everyone should own Made In America by now, such a great album. Battlecat did a number of tracks on there. My cut is Givin It Up tho, produced by Hutch.

oh yea, all you KAM fans be sure to pick up Contraversy - Inner Conflicts. He is featured on 'Get Props' (peep a clip at the web site).

Made In America is no doubt fresh...

looked for it for a couple of years before finally finding it in 1999.

I dont know if you remember, but just last spring Kam's concert was cancelled because the content of his show were anti-white-power.... it's 2001... I don't think you should feel this way... however a lot of those people who practice Islamic beliefs feel this way... (just watch the news) ... kam, who has been saying this stuff in his music also practices these beliefs...

Damn, this kam cd is dope for sure, especially keep tha peace prod. by Warren G, that is some smooth G Funk shit.

My fav. Kam song ever is off the Boyz n the Hood sdtrk, its called Every Single WEekend.  If you listen closely in the intro, you can hear a young Snoop rippin it over the G'z and Hustlas beat, but this is way before Gz and Hustlas.    Some tight shit!!!!

I love going through my CD collection and pop in an album that I haven't heard in a long ass time.  Sometimes when I do that, I look at the CD in a different way then before.  It gives you a knew perspective on the album that you didn't see when you first bought it.
