Threatened - Last Track on Invincible
« on: October 30, 2001, 07:03:47 AM »
Alright, Guys.  How Many Of You Have Heard Threatened? It's The Last Track On Invincible, And The Interesting Thing Is That It Samples Vocals From Rod Serling, Creator Of "The Twilight Zone".  You Know His Voice From Saying "Next Stop, The Twilight Zone" On All The Shows, You Know.  Well, They Pieced Together His Voice, And Made Him Appear Allthrough The Song! He Even Half-Raps A Verse, With That Slow Creepy Voice.  It's Unbelievable.  At The Beginning, He Talks About A Monster Coming, Invading A Town, Then Says "Oh Yeah, I Forgot One Part, Didn't I? I Forgot To Introduce The Monster" Then Michael Comes On And Does His Verse.

the Chorus Includes The Line "You'lll Never Be, Half Of Me, You Should Feel Threatened By Me", Etc... "When Your GirlSpeaks, She Speaks To Me, You're Threatened" It's Just Tight , Tight Stuff.

They Made This Guy, Rod Serling, Who's Been Dead For 25 Years, Say "A Monster.  That's The Case.  Never Neverland, That's The Place".  They Made It Sound Like He's Talking About Michael, Even Named His House (Never Neverland).  Then In The Verses, Michael Is Talking About How He's A Monster (In Music) And That People Should Be Threatened By Him.  It's Really Pretty Tricky, What A Sample.

In A Chat Last Week, Mike Said He Can't Wait To "Sink His Teeth" Into This Video, And It Will Be Another "Short Film" With "Innovative Moves That Have Never Been Seen" Before.  He Said That Modern Dance In Hiphop Looks Like Simple Aerobics To Him, And It's "Annoying".  I Can't Wait, Damn, This Is Gonna Be Hot.  Anybody Heard The Song, And What Do You Think Of It?

That's The Guy.

This Was Said To be his Last Album, But It Sounds So Good And Is Getting So Many Positive Reviews, We'll See Him Again.

He's Always Released Several Singles (Thriller Had 7, History Had 6, I Think Bad Had 6, Dangerous Had 7, Etc.) So He's Gonna Release

You Rock My World
Cry  (Video is Out Now)
Butterflies (Next Single)
And Threatened Will Have A KILLER Video.

I Don't Know What Else, But He Said Speechless And Unbreakable Are 2 Of His Favorites on The Album.  It'd Be Nice To See Heaven Can Wait or 2000 watts, Or Whatever Happens... There's A Ton Of Single Material On The Album.
