Dubcnn took some time to talk to a legendary duo that have had the longevity to survive many years in the game. We spoke to 8 Ball & MJG about how they got into the industry and who influenced them coming up, we also delved into why they chose to sign with Diddy and Bad Boy Records in 2002.

They told us about how it is being seen as pioneers in southern hip-hop and where they feel they can not get the recognition they deserve. Finally we find out how it is the fans that keep them motivated and driven to make music and get some of the latest information on the new album "Ridin' High" which is set to hit stores in February.

ha ha... i like how you put Quik and Daz in the title even tho they didnt really mention him by name... but this is DUBcnn

anyways, ive never been a fan of 8ball and mjg, but i did see them open for bone thugs back in 2002... they came and put on a live set and i respect them for that... that "pimp hard" beat is an all-time favorite!!

i like the part in the interview where they say they wouldnt even be considered as a feature on puffys album... it kinda makes me wonder why they would even want to be on bad boy's roster, which is pretty much a joke...

but good looks on the interview... keep doing your thing

peace
