lmao@when it's about jones it's "he's old  :'(" and when it's about shaq it's "he's got no work ethic, horrible conditioning, overpaid ass fag, milks injuries..."

What's your point? Jones never had a problem with teammates or the coach or the owner, he's never been late in training, never been suspended, never been criticized by a teammate or an opponent. He's very professional, and he's still giving it all as a true professional sportman. Can you say the same thing about Shaq? No. And by the way, Shaq was criticized even when he was still the best player in the world. He has always had bad work ethic.

Talking about being overpaid, they are both overpaid. But that's not their faults.

that might all be true, but the main reason for shaq falling the fuck off is still AGE, and nothing else.

Mourning on one leg and with major health problems is playing with passion, giving it all everyday in pratice and in the games. He's an example Shaq should follow. When your big ass and your long arms aren't enought no more to give you an advantage over the other centers, that's where you have to step up in trainings, acting like Mourning is. He isn't doing it. You're right: it's not like all of a sudden he's not doing it: he has never done it. And Shaq being a fat elephant at 34 when Mourning in those conditions (36 years old) is overplaying him is the result.

Yeah, age alone is never the case. Jerry Rice, Kevin Willis, Robert Parish played til their 40's....then some players didn't even make it to 25 because of injuries. Most players start to really fall off after 32, and at that point, it really shows who did their best to stay in top condition. With Karl Malone, I still hate cuzz, but he stayed in the best possible position his ENTIRE career, and when he got hurt, it wasn't anything he could do about it.

Damn, man, I honestly thought you knew more than that...LOL. Eddie Jones never had a work-ethic problem, dude conditioned his whole life and never requested a kings salary when his career was winding down. :grumpy:

Shaq has never been thin, it's nothing new really. That's not what his problem is. His problem is that he's an old big center, which is far worse than an old quick pg.

I never meant to imply that Jones had any conditioning problem, he's old and that's that like with all players. Including the great Shaquille O'Neal.

Mourning and Mutombo aren't nearly as big as Shaq. Try moving 330lbs on court when you're 35 and been to a shitload of playoff games.

Shaq was extremely fit in his rookie season...He got fatter and fatter as the years went by, something that COULD HAVE been avoided...PeACe

I think in his prime, when he was still young enough to move that weight incredibly fast on court, him being fat didn't hurt his game at all, it just gave him more dominance. Now that he's old and can't explode with power his weight hurts him, but dude is the definition of washed up, his knees must be pieces of shit after jumping and running with that weight for all those years. And there's nothing he can do now, he's done physically. But his presence on court is still significant, and I'm sure the Heat will do better if/when he comes back, no matter how weak his straight numbers might be

That's where you're wrong...If Shaq had the work-ethic of a Kobe or a Jordan, not gaining weight all the time, not being lazy for training, not eating fast food, etc. dude would easily have been considered the greatest big of all time and probably even the greatest player ever...Earlier in the season, even Phil Jackson confirmed what we've been saying all along...Take a look at how someone like Kareem Abdul-Jabar winded down his career, as opposed to a player like Shaq...Age is not the issue with him, admit it...PeACe

The great Shaquille O'Neal never praticed enought on FT to reach at least 60%. He never praticed enought to build himself a pretty decent mid-range jumper. He never praticed enought to learn how to defend against pick-n-rolls. He never spent his freetime during the summertime to work on his body, on his legs, on his shape. Oh, and it's funny you're saying it's hard to move on court being 330lbs. Cause that's exactly the problem. Mouring is 260lbs cause he worked on the gym. Shaq instead is now like Shawn Kemp, Vin Baker, Barkley etc.. who went FAT at the end of their careers falling down like big apples. He is no 275lbs. That's the problem. You said it. And the reason is he ain't a professional sportman.

West content to wait and see with Grizzlies

SNIPPET:
Don't be surprised if one move Jerry West does make in the coming weeks is to waive veteran guard Eddie Jones. A 13-year veteran, Jones is in the final year of his contract.

^Yea...Another reason you can't compare Eddie Jones and Shaq is because Eddie hasn't been getting the minutes. When Eddie gets a chance to play, he usually performs well. Memphis is dedicated to building a club for the future. I don't think they're as concerned about winning now, so Eddie doesn't really fit into their plans as much as he would like to, which is why there's been talks of him moving to a contending team...PeACe
