Any Bush Fans in here?

I've been listening to bush again lately...i seem to get on a bush kick every few months or so...anyways...there's 2 things i've always wondered..

in a ton of bush's songs they sing about the "machine" (machinehead, warm machine, etc...)....what the hell is the "machine"? ...is it symbolic of something?

Also...how did they get their name?

I'm not sure what Machine means to them, but I do know what Bush means to them, lol. 

At my prom (this will date me) I kept asking the DJ to play "machinehead" which he didn't want to play at a formal dance, then after I'd left apparently he played it in my honor.  LOL.
