50 Cent has lent his support to Jay-Z following negative reviews of Hova's comeback album, 'Kingdom Come'.

Speaking to MTV, Fiddy said, " In Jay-Z’s case, he just ran into Jay-Z. The critics are comparing him to the old Jay-Z saying, ‘His stuff wasn’t as good as the older stuff, he looks too relaxed’. I saw (someone say) on a TV show recently, ‘He looks like he belongs in the office.'

"They say all kinda things about him. This is them weighing what his new work is to his old work," he said. "The Jay-Z record is a great record, the (critics) are gonna dawg it. They are just gonna say, 'He is not good as he is.' You see what I’m sayin?”

And Fifty, who's currently working on his third album, says he's been under the same pressure himself.

"My second album was the toughest. You are in competition with yourself," he explained. "It’s always harder. The title of my new album, ‘Before I Self Destruct',, is a reflection of that pressure.

"You know the first thing they say to you after your record is a success? 'You can make music that is a reflection of the environment you were brought up in. Express the harsh realities.' (But) after you do that (you get), 'What are you gonna do now, you are a role model? Are you gonna change your content?'

"As soon as your records and musical content change, the people who were interested lose interest and your ass falls flat on your face. I talked to my Grandma, my Grandma told me that.

"I said, 'Ma, I’m gonna do something different.' She said 'Hey, do what you do. The reason why they liked (your last albums) is because you gave them the real you.'"

And after speaking to his gran, Fiddy reveals his confidence is sky-high.

"Nobody can be me; better than me. That’s what the general public has bought into, 50 Cent."

Let's hope Jay-Z feels similarly inspired by these wise words...

I ain't got no more beef with 50 after sticking up for hova after all that. Critics always knock down the movement, when you're great at what you do and you set the standard years ago, it's kinda hard sticking to it, Jay's trust trying new stuff and all, it's still good.

50 kisses Jay's ass because Jay is more powerful than him, and thats it.  Jay's album was wack.

What does being a hustler have to do with making quality music?  Nobody ever said 50 doesn't sell albums, but his music has gotten really shitty.  Massacre was complete trash.  Oh and I've never purchased a Game cd in my life so there goes that arguement (and I have bought 50's).

And how come somebody doesn't like an album they're a hater?  Thats fucking stupid.

i don't understand how everyone says jays album was trash...you can't compare jays new shit to the shit he made 15 years ago. you can't do that with anyone. i guarantee in 15 years every single one of your favorite rappers is gonna sound like shit (90% of them probably won't have a career anymore anyway)...the fact that jay has lasted this long in the rap game and is still as big as he is is fuckin impressive

your opinion is the album is trash, its not a fact, cause to me it isnt trash...everyone has opinions...and i respect yours

but theres a lot of ppl hatin on 50 just czu he beefin with certain ppl, maybe u not one of them, but there definately is lots of ppl who do hate...

its all good tho, every hater got it comin to them at a certain point, and they have to deal with it on they own...so let the haters hate and have your own opinion, i respect it   ;D

I own every Jay album except for Blueprint 2 and Kingdom Come.  But I listend to KC in its entirety probably 5 times and I forced myself to do that much.  It was horrible.  Jay's flow is wack, he's uninspired.  I didn't like any of Dre's beats on there.  Show me what you got was a good production, but Jay completely ruined it.  "show me what you got lil mama, show me what you got purty lady", now wave, wave, wave,  LOL.  what the fuck is that all about?  That's a god awful hook.

This is easily my least favorite Jay Z album.

first of all, exactly who is comparing his new stuff to the shit he made 15 years ago?...  ???

and compared to rest of jay's albums, kingdom come is trash. he could do alot better, but its obvious that he got too lazy and dont really care anymore.

as for 50's comment on jay, i cant tell if he's being sarcastic or not...especially with all the bullshit coming outta his mouth.

People saying Kingdom Come is wack is one big mystery to me. I understand Jrome becuase he does have high standards and listens to different type of music but the biggest irony is that the same people who like and listen to all the latest stuff from Snoop, DPG, Dipset, GUnit, Jeezy, Game..... and like their stuff call KC piece of shit.

You heard the interview where he was clowin Jay. He didn't say the album was wack but he called Jay-Z & Beyonce "Sonny & Cher", he pretty much said his sales weren't that good cuz of the amount of promotion that he putt into it, he said he wouldn't go on roc-a-fella records radio show, etc etc etc.

Just admit it...you're hero is just as bipolar as Game.

Jay-Z's album was alright, but not really good for JAYZ standards.  I like about half the songs, and thats not saying much considering his last album was classic, Blueprint was classic, BP2 could have been classic if it was one disc.  I would rate the new album along the same level as Vol. 2 or Vol 3, its definatly not on the same level as The Dynasty.
