I think I pulled something. What's a good, inexpensive remedy?
« on: January 18, 2007, 10:55:49 PM »
I was out running earlier today and afterwards I felt some deep pain in my right calf. I still feel it now. Just curious if any of y'all have some remedies that help ease the pain or what methods you use when you get a minor injury?

I usually smoke that good green but this is no time to mess around

slap some Icy-Hot on it, I imagine it would help it out...... or put a heating pad on it

Lol when I was a kid I fucked up my ankle real bad and my dad soaked it in vodka. That shit hurt like a motherfucker and I started looking like a reptile peeling arge pieces of skin for a week.

I think I'ma pick up some of that Icy Hot and drink the vodka this time.

For something like that heat is the best thing.  try rubbing it too, but if it hurts too much then stop.

Doctors routinely prescribe the RICE treatment -- rest, ice, compression and elevation immediately following the injury, along with aspirin or ibuprofen to reduce inflammation and pain. Heat can be interchangeable with ice.

Getting shitfaced helps too.

Here's my theory in life: when shiet gets hard - take a nap. When you're sleep you won't feel any pain (physically or emotionally).

Dudes right, I normally do this even when I'm not injured. I call it prevention.

Real spit. I'll try the RICE method too because this shit is hurting like a muthafucka this morning. I'm still gonna go run and take care of my bidness eventhough it will probably fuck everything up more.
