i got my PS3 due to the fact that it plays Blue Ray movies and i have an HD TV.Im not bashing on the xbox 360 but i think Blue ray is the way for HD movies because there are more Film Studios involve with Blue ray than with HD dvd. That was my final decison on getting the PS3 and i know that the games will come i have no worries. The xbox 360 games are fucking sick though but you have to remeber they already have a year under their belt just give the PS3 a year then we can really argue about the games.

EDIT: I forgot! I got to school your dumbass.Fourth, Xbox 360 is able to display in 1080p with either Component or VGA. Okay the PS3 has HDMI but all games look like shit on 1080p since all games are made in 720p and when it upscales there isn't a scaling chip to fix the picture. Also all Blu Ray movies are playing in 480p LOL.Fifth, backwards compatibility is horrible on the PS3. Every game i've played on it like Final Fantasy 7 looked like complete utter shit compared to on PS2.Six, online can't compete with Xbox Live.Seventh, music playback in games is shitty.Eighth, Every PS3 game has to load onto the hard drive which means WAITING since the Blu Ray player has slow read speeds.Ninth, no rumble in the controller. This is 2007 not 1987.Tenth, their wireless controller is a joke. You have to sync the controller with the ps3 with a short-ass USB cord.

Games play in the highest resolution they were developed for, so 1080p games play in 1080p, and 720p games play in that resolution, it doesn't try to upscale them to 1080i or p no matter what you set the console to in the menu. Blu-rays can play in 1080p, 1080i or 480p, yes a problem if you screen can't do either of the 1080 resolutions but most screens at least take 1080i so this isn't a problem for most people.5th - the latest firmware upgrade (1.50) has now fixed most of these issues, so the majority of games now play perfectly on the PS3.6th - its free, so you're not going to get the same service as XBL. However, it lets you play games against other people online which is surely the most important part of the online service.7th - where did you pull this idea from?8th - not every game does this and in the ones that do its optional if you wish to make the game faster.10th - only the first time you use each controller and after the system update. Anywhen else you just press the PS button to sync the controller to the system, something which all other wireless controllers also do.If you wish to school our "dumbasses" you might want to get your facts straight first!

I do not own one. I made my opinion AFTER playing the PS3 (not saying you haven't but alot of people would of just made assumptions without even looking at the ps3)So yeah about the upscaling, let's say you have a old CRT HDTV that's only capable of 480p/1080i and the game was created for 720p, what would happen? you'd play in 480p since it won't upscale? And I remember playing music while playing a game on there. It was fucking up. Not smooth at all.
