Pan's labyrinth should definitely win every award it was nominated for...to tell you the truth i'll be surprised if it wins more than 1 or 2...but it should win every one...and the departed should win a few too...that was my favorite movie of last year (though the illusionist was definitely tied for that position)

I seen Flags of Our Fathers and heard that Eastwood was making a series of movies based around the pacific campaign but didnt hear anything about it since Flags came out. Was it in limited release? if so,why? I cant go anywhere without hearing commercial/advertising for bullshit like Stomp The Yard but movies i actually wanna see i dont hear shit about....

It was released in December, and it was a very limited release.  It really fucking blows how people flock to see pathetic movies(Epic Movie, Stomp the Yard, etc), but they have no interest in watching movies like Letters from Iwo Jima, Children of Men, Volver and so on.  The people that really enjoy movies get punished.  They either have to make a long drive to see one or wait for it to come out on DVD. 


I saw Letters from Iwo Jima last night, and wow it is a great movie.  It's amazing that Clint Eastwood has made four really good movie in a row.  He has made Mystic River, Million Dollar Baby, Flags of our Fathers, and Letters from Iwo Jima since 2003 plus the guys is now 76 years old!
