I just mean getting in that scene, I'm not saying anyone considers him to BE DPG or anything, I just mean what was going on in my backyard (damn near literally) that sent one of my neighbors(damn near literally) that way, you know? I read his wikipedia entry didn't say much. who produced the CA remix by the way? and why is there a vid for the remix but no the original? was the original a single too?

and furthermore, what album is the ca remix on, cause it's just the original on his album right? also, he used to work at the record shop a couple blocks from where I work (downtown san bernardino) and they never have his fucking album, though they do have dirty birdy's shit. i wanna cop that shit.

also, in some songs I heard recently, sly implies he has gang ties...what gangs does he have ties with? no blood or crip affiliations right? i didn't think we had that round here. I've only seen mexican gangs around here in the IE.

I got "Judgment Day" but it sounds more like a mixtape than anything. That track with Crooked I, Planet Asia, Ras Kass, etc was ridiculous. I think that was 04 or around that time.

The California Remix wasn't on a CD, it was just released seperately.  I don't know how he hooked up with all those dudes for that remix, but he probably got recognized because he was on Sway and King Tech's show.  They put him on that show, and I think that's how he first got noticed.  Sly Boogy is dope as fuck, and he needs to drop an album for crissake.  I mean, he should have a long time ago with "That's My Name" and "Itz Nuthin" on there.  At Tanjability - what shit do they have of Dirty Birdy's at that record store?  Any indie albums that we don't know about?
