It's about a mother and her daughter who is addopted who is a sleepwalker and keep sayin' something about Silent Hill (An empty ghost city). And she takes her to that place and she dissapears and the mother goes to look for her in the city and then it's some fucked up shit!
I aint wanna say 2 much so you betta' look for yourself, its freakish that's all i can say :p

I saw that movie at a drive-in in Montclair, California last summer along with Scary Movie 4. I thought it wasn't that good.

The Silent Hill games are pretty good though.
