Snoop Dogg & Westurn Union - Like This...
« on: January 25, 2007, 08:54:39 PM »
I don't know about the rest of y'all, but I'm stuck on that song...Bad Lucc, Damani, & Soopafly really killed their verses & Snoop added a dope one at the end...I couldn't really tell it was LaToiya on that song either because the other singers on it overshadowed her pipes...which brings me to another question...anyone know what LaToiya is up to lately and if she's gonna have any new solo songs coming out soon?

Yeah that is a cool track. Real smooth. I think their debut album is going to be very diverse.

Yeah I feel out of the two groups Snoop put together that Westurn Union's got the best chemistry & plus with Soopafly also being a producer he can put out a lot of their songs on his own beats & shit... 8)

I like the Warzone cuts but I think without some bangin production, they shit is going to be boring. They need like some Daz beats, something hard hitting. Westurn Union is more well rounded. They can be on a mellow track, a club banger or something street.

That's true about Warzone's beats...if they had like Daz, Soopafly, Jelly Roll, etc. even Snoop doing the beats they'd be in good shape... 8)

Well I know Snoop is doing the beats but that lineup right there would be the shit. Snoop's projects should not have any wack beats on it with all the producers just in his own camp to work with.

Bad Lucc is even doper than he sounds on that song....a lot doper if u ask me.

It's funny that Snoop gets credit for "making" Western Union....when Western Union was really a movement that consisted of Lucc, Damani, NV, and some cats from Watts City Ent....and I guess Snoop liked the name, and let them roll with it after puttin Soopafly with em. I donno the details, but I remember hearing about Western Union a long time before Snoop claimed them as his group.

^Yeah, just the usual suspects like Daz, Soopafly, Battlecat, Terrace Martin, 1500 or Nothin, THX, Jelly Roll...mainly West Coast producers... 8)

I remember seeing a mixtape of just Bad Lucc and Damani but I can't find it.

^Yeah, Damani originally had just him & Bad Lucc as far as a group like he was saying in the interview...but then Snoop added in Soopafly...but yeah my bad, I had meant to say that it was Snoop who had put the current lineups of the groups together... 8)

I think this is where Snoop deserves some props, songs like this and the Warzone joint don't really fit into his album, but he put them on anyway to give these groups some shine

I believe Diz Gibran, the new Angeles signing, was actually supposed to be the 3rd member of the Western Union, but was later replaced by Soopafly.

I was saying this from the beginning!  "Like This" is the West Coast "Step in the name of Love" song!  I only wish Snoop would make this a single with a ridiculous video with all West Coast artist dressed up like they was going to like an exclusive function or ball or whatever, ya know!  The track is SO different, fresh and new!  Man, this is my favorite track on the album!  CERTIFIED BANGER!
