Carter Ignoring Trade Rumors

According to the Bergen Record, the Nets have offered Vince Carter for Pau Gasol of the Memphis Grizzlies , Andrei Kirilenko of the Utah Jazz or Ray Allen of the Seattle SuperSonics .

"I don't care," Carter told the Bergen Record. "I'm content with myself and my game and what I bring to the table. If it happens it happens, if it doesn't it doesn't. I'm going to continue to play just like I did when I was in Toronto."

it also seems like clippers aren't getting him and are keeping maggette and mobley (or livingston according to other reports). i wouldn't have minded the trade, but i think its best if the clips stick with what they have. and apparently the fans want to keep maggette as well, judging by the loud "corey" chants he's been getting lately

the Nets know that Vince isn't gonna sign with them so they might as well look for a trade, he's been ballin lately dropped 40 on the Clippers and is averaging 25 a game and has been injury free pretty much the past few years

They had no choice. He wasn't playing seriously and was always faking injuries. They moved on and they're looking pretty good right now.

Vince is a bitch.  Hes the kind of player that jokes around with guys on the other team when his team is down by 20 in the fourth quarter.  Playing with  Charles Oakley was the best thing that happend to Vince's career at one point.  After Oakley was gone, Vince became a bitch and I lost respect for him as a player.

Wow, you guys are shittin on my squad lol! I don't see a midseason trade, because if we do hold on to 1st place, play Indiana or Toronto in the 1st round, and there is a definite chance for advancement. The Pacers cannot beat the Nets in a 7 game series. The thing is, we need a big man who can score, with Kristic out for the season. Getting rid of Carter for any of those guys except Allen would be stupid, because we need a high scoring wing player as well. I take Allen's defense and clutch shooting over Vince, but with no Jefferson for a while ( and when he does come back, he wont be 100% ), we need that wing man as well as a post player.

actually, i would say they could use gasol more than anything. gasol would be a god among men against the eastern conference's big men
