The movie wasn't a lesson to the Mayans, it was a good fictional movie with a great story. In fact a lot of the things about the Mayans were misleading in the film.

the quicksand scene was just hilarious... i thought people got smarter after the indiana jones films

pregnant lady climbing on ropes...

"soilders" not being smart enough to actually understand the people are hidden in the hole

a kid in the hole not screaming even though being hit by a giant rock...

come on....

a guy being chased through the woods hitting people with a bat...?? ??

Man, I just watched that yesterday on DVD... Wack... The fighting was cool, a lot of blood and shit, but the story wasnt that great... And the scenes with animals... Man, they look like real fuckin puppets... I could have done a better job pretending to be a panther...
