Yo! You Know I Am. I've Heard The Album, It's Very Good. It's Actually As Good As Thriller... But It Won't Sell All That. Thriller Did 50 Million Copies, Worldwide. Nobody Else Is Even Close, Number 2 Is Like 30 Million Copies.
The INTERESTING Thing Though, Is That Mike's Playing The Media Just Like He Did On Thriller. On Thriller, he Released "The Girl is Mine" With Paul McCartney As The First Single. It's A Good Song, But One Of The Weakest On The Album. The Album Sold Well, Out The Gate, This Was In Dec. 82, When The Album And Mediocre First Single Came Out. Song Goes To #2 On The Charts.
In Feb. 83, He Released Billie Jean, As The Second Single. Sales Immediately Jumped, 2 Months After It's Release. A Month Of So Later, He Appeared On Motown's 25th Reunion Special, And Performed With His Brothers. They Left The Stage, And He Did His Now-Classic Performance Of "Billie Jean" Live, Debuting His New Move, The Moonwalk... The Crowd And Everybody Watching Went Fuckin' Nuts, And The Album Sold Even More. That's Prob. The Greatest Performance I've Ever Seen, It's Amazing. Song Goes To #1 On The Charts
So, Then Comes April 83. He Releases "Beat It" As A Single. It Had A Good Video, Plus A Guitar Solo By Then-On-Top Guitarist Eddie Van Halen. The Album Sold MORE Friekin' Copies, This Time To Rock Fans. Goes To #1 On The Charts.
Flash Forward To June 83. He Releases "Wanna Be Startin Somethin" As A Single, With No Video. More Sales, Because It's All Over The Radio. It's A Big Hit Overseas. Goes To #5 On The Charts
Move Forward To August 83, He Releases "Human Nature" As A Single, It Immediately Blows The Album Up Again With The R&B Crowd, Great Song... MORE Record Sales. Goes To #7 On The Charts
Next Up, Around The Same Time, He Releases "PYT" A Song With His Sister Latoya Singing In It With Him, And That's ANOTHER big Hit For Him, The Album Sells Even More. Goes To #10 On The Charts
Around Halloween, He Releases "Thriller" As The Final Single From The Album, And All Hell Breaks Lose. The Album Starts Flying Off Shelves, A Year After It's Release, And Sales Don't Slow Down For A Year. The Song Only Goes To #3 On The Charts, But The Video On MTV Keeps It Selling Strong For A LONG DAMN Time.
----------------------------------------------------------
Now, You Flash Forward, And He's Doing The SAme Thing. If You Look At The Album, He Obviously Released The 2 Weakest Songs First, "You Rock My World" And "Cry" Aren't Even Representative Of The Album. I Say By The Time "Whatever Happens" With Santana And "Heaven Can Wait" Are Released, Game'll Be On Lock.
Plus, he Always Releases A TON Of Singles Off Albums, while Other Acts Release 3. For Instance, His Last Big Album, "History" (Entirely New Material In '95) Had 6 Singles, "Scream" "Childhood" "You Are Not Alone" "Earth Song" "They Don't Really Care About Us" And "Stranger In Moscow".

He'll Never Release It. If Yall Will Remember, I Was Talkin' About Him About 6 Months Ago, And Said He Had Songs Too Advanced For Radio, And That's 1 Of 'Em. They'd Never Play It. It's One Of The Greatest Songs I've Heard, I Think, Ever, But At The Beginning Theirs 30 Seconds Of Acapella Vocals, and Then Again At The End. It's Beautiful, But they'll Never Play That On The Radio.
But They WILL Play "Break Of Dawn" Or "Butterflies" Or "Heaven Can Wait" Which Are All 3 Great, Great Songs.
Yeah, I Got All Those Dates Off A Discography, Not Off The Top Of My Head. The Skyliner's Supposed To Be Some Impossible Shit Where It Looks Like You'd Fall Over, But You Don't, Like In The "Smooth Criminal" Video, But Different.
I'm Diggin' On "The Lost Children" Too, That's Dope, That's Ballsy.

When History Came Out, I Was Dissapointed. I Didn't Hear It Until I Bought It, But There Weren't Many Songs That I Thought Were Very Good. I Liked "This Time Around", "You Are Not Alone", Scream Was Alright, And I Liked "History". My FAVORITE Song On There Wasn't As Good As Some Of My Least Favorite On This Album, LOL. Really, I'm Much Happier This Time Around, This Album Kills History.
As Time Went On, I Appreciated History More. Songs Like "Smile" Are My Favorites. "Money" Is Great. Etc. But A Lot Of The Songs On There Like "DS" And "They Don't Care About Us" Are Just Mike Being Angry About The Allegations. He Had a Right To Be Angry, But It Ruined His Music. He's At His Best Doing POP, R&B Smooth Getting Laid Music. He Let His Message Get In The Way Big Time On That Album. When It Came Out, I'd Give It About A 6.5... Now I'd Give It Probably An 8. It's Alright, But Several Songs Are Horrible. Tabloid Junkie Is One Of The Only "Message" Songs That Came Off Alright. "Just Because You Read It IN A Magazine, Or See It On A T.V. Screen Don't Make It Actual, Factual, They Say He's Homosexual"... That's Some Dope Shit, There.
This Album Is Much, So Much Better. The Main Reason Is That Mike's Focused More On His Vocals, And Making Just Good Music, Without Trying To Get A Message Across. He's Not So Personal On This Album, It's All About Good Music You Like Hearing. Notice I Don't Like "Privacy" Because It's Like His History STuff.
BTW, "Blood On The Dance Floor" Was Slept On, I Think. Pretty Good Album (Nowhere Near This Good, Though).
Peace
P.S. I'm Happy Mike's Going Back To His Roots. He's Singing Good Again; Sunday, He Sang "Man InTHe Mirror" Live Without Lipsyncing It For The First Time In His Career. His Dancing Is MAYBE Better Than Ever, And He's Changing His Image, Slowly, To Try And Look Less Freaky (The Video Was A Joke, BTW). He's Trying To Appear More Normal, Like He Used To Be, And His Music Reflects It. Get This... He's SERIOUSLY Considering Doing MTV Unplugged. Imagine That.

yo that would be pretty hot i cant imagine the ratings for that shit
u sure about the video being a joke though i dont really see how he can make himself look nromal again?
/ i mean he already looked normal around the time of history... actually i thought he looked his best ever around that time... then he disappeared and came back lookin all fucked up... i dont see how he is gonna make himself look wierd just to as a joke.....i wish he ust stayed how he looked around when history came out....
but for real i like this album a lot and i read your other shit about how he can still release made shit and make album sales huge and i totally argee,,, unlike the wash which i think is better than people are sayin but didnt live up to the hype.... this album def lived up to the hype some people might bash it cause they expect something unbelievably amazing that about never happen but this shit is pretty hot.... i wish he had less slow joints but the slow joints are all really dope so cant complain... im realy happy with this shit though....
btw i agree i love Blood on the Dance floor too... especially stranger in moscow remix, history remix, you are not alone remix... but thats a pretty good album the whole way through u ever see the videoto blood on the dance floor though? i never have

Yeah, "you are not alone remix" is hot, and the wyclef remix of "2 bad" is good.
The Video Was AWESOME! You Didn't See It? I've Seen It Once. You KNow How On The Cover, He's Wearing A Red Suit? Well, In The Video, They're In A Really Crowded Club, With Beads Hanging Down And Stuff, And Basically He's Just Dancing With This Girl, All Up On Her, He Gets On A Table, And Does The Moonwalk In Place In One Part, It's Hot. He's Doing The Moonwalk, But Not Moving, Unbelievable. He Does The Same Thing In 1 Part Of "Smooth Criminal".
Anyways, I Think He Looks Like A Freak, And He's Definately Much Worse Than When History Came Out. But The Main Reason I Think Is He's Having Medical Problems, Plus, He's Doing Reconstructive Facial Surgery; Yeah, I Know, Stupid. He's Diagnosed With Lupus Now, LOL Can It GET Any Worse For Him? But He's Done Something To His Chin, And I Think He's Soon Going To Change It Back More Like His Old Look (Around Dangerous And Bad). He's Also Done Some Sort Of Medical Treatment To His Face That Basically Paralyzed His Upper Lip; If You'll Look, His Patella Is Gone (That Little Wrinkle Under Your Nose). In The Video, HE SAYS He Wore A Ton Of Makeup, Used All His Old Dance Moves, And Had chris Tucker Mention All His Old Songs, To End His Past And Start A New Image (More Basic, Less Flashy). Now I Dunno, That's Just What He Said. BTW, I Saw A Picture From 3 Days Ago Of Him, He Don't Look Bad.

I saw the vide for Blood on the Dancefloor along time ago. Back in '97 I think. I remember it was on when BET used to have this show called Planet Groove.
I remember Strangers in Moscow as well.

yeah down here in england 'blood on the dance floor' got to number one in the charts so like the video for it was on like alot but like the album didnt to that well cuz like it was pretty much like a remix album, infact i wouldnt have named it a album if i was mj, just makes it worse for him. i also dont really think he looked normal at the time when history was released either, still looked to white for me, but like i think when dangerous was out he looked like a person, not like a doll. hey another thing, down here in england we get invincible out on monday! so like its out here on the 29th of october. hey by the way trauma, whats lupus? and is his upper lip paralysed for life?

Lupus I believe is a disease that affects the kidneys. My aunt has it and she is in remission right now.
