Soundtrack sales
« on: October 24, 2001, 05:56:30 PM »
The Bones soundtrack debuted at 31 last week..and at first I didnt think that was great.  Then I was reading about next weeks charts, and the soundtrack for  On The Line (Lance Bass' from NSYNC's new movie) debuted at 35 and this CD features new Britney Spears and NSYNC songs.  In other words, the Bones album sold damned well for a soundtrack, but at the same time, I dont expect the Wash soundtrack to be a huge smash after reviewing these numbers.  It looks like people arent buying soundtracks anymore. Maybe it has something to do with people who only buy albums of their favorite artists and just burn songs off their favorite artists from soundtracks?

Something to think about..

i think the wash will sell alot more...it has a great single getting alot of airplay right now...and after the people see the movie they'll know what's up...it'll sell alot believe me...you have to keep in mind that the bones movie isn't going to make alot of sales plus there isn't no single on rotation right now...that's the first week sales so those are all the die-hard snoop fans buying it so watch for it to take a dive on this weeks charts like tha eastsidaz did...if it doesn't than that's good news but i'm thinkin it's inevidable, peace.

Damn..the eastidaz spent 10 weeks in the top 100.  That wasnt that bad--it just wasnt the multiplatinum sales we were expecting/hoping.  And yes-Bones will take a big dive-guaranteed.  Plus-on a side note--No theatre around my area is showing Bones..damn.

"Dogg Named Snoop" video is out there...somewhere floating around, lol.  I've been a good minute of it and Snoop's all G'd up with the pimp glasses rappin outside with all these 64's hoppin up and down.  Didn't see any clips from "Bones" though.

I saw in last night on RapCity, There aren't any clips from Bones but Snoops dressed like Bones for some scenes of the video. Basically Bones drives a 64 and picks up Ho's in the video 8)

I also saw the Bones trailer it had the Ballad Of Jimmy Bones on in the background.
I Started This Nutter Shit, And This The Motherfuckin Thanks I Get??
