Suga Free's "Street Gospel" Record Sales??
« on: October 23, 2001, 11:15:26 PM »
I was just wondering if any of you know how much that album sold.

My old copy had gotten scratched... especially song #6 "Tip Toe" which is one of my favorite songs on the album so I had to buy another one...

Everyother week I'd go look for it and it would alwayz be sold out.. I had a hard time finding it. Until today, I went to go pick up the Jayo Felony and noticed they had like 10 new Suga Free cd's in stock... I got one. When I was paying for it the lady asked this other guy employee "Is This The One You Were Talking About?"

And the guy was like "Yeah, That's two cd's in less than 5 mins... I wish I was that guy and my cd's were selling like that 7 years after they came out"

I dont know if it's because I live in So. Cal and he's probably  more popular out here... cuz I know alot of guys and even a gang of girls that like that cd...

That's cool though... good to know his shit is still selling after all this time.

I doubt it sold a whole lot at first, it really got slept on. but yea if they've re-released it thats a good job, Free is real popular right now thanks to those dogghouse appearances.

and anyone who doesnt have that cd should definitely check it out, its one of my favorites.

Yah..

Cop both Street Gospel and "The Konnectid Project" which is an album of Mausberg, Suga Free, and DJ Quik.  Go to www.amazon.com to order these if you cant find them elsewhere.

I liked the Konnectid Project as well.  To be honest-the only Quik produced CD Im not feeling was Mausbergs.  I just dont like his flow on those beats--I like to hear the laid back sound of Quik, Free, Hi-C, etc.
