Yeah I was wondering about that too. Dogghouse was through TVT and Doggystyle is on like its 2nd or 3rd distributor.

Snoop's own shit is released on priority now I think and he convinces Koch to bank on his other acts every once in a while.

Well Suge owned the rights to the name Doggystyle Records just like he did with Tha Dogg Pound. He was going to distribute the label under Death Roe when Snoop was there. He did not renew the rights to it so Daz and Snoop picked up those names after like 2002 or 2003. That is why he named it Dogghouse. I think he wanted to even name it DPG Recordz at one time but Daz owned that name too. Snoop is through Geffen, his label is through a different company.

His label doesn't exist outside of his mind. He convinces Koch to release an act or two of his every once in a while. Having a label is like when you can say "I'ma sign you, pay for your album to get made and make it with you, then we're droppin' this shit." Not no "My wife's trying to help Rage find a label to sign Rage"  or "OH Latoya's shit had some issues we may get it out somehow." Rappers like to think they have labels, they have documents that prove they own a name, that's it. It's a literal label, a logo.

a)no consistent distributor
b)..Man, fuck B when you ask what label was CIA on what do you answer? Koch, right?
              when the answer to such questions is 'dogghouse' or 'doggystyle' snoop has a label again. around the time of tha eastsidaz, i'd say he did but once it went independent they went independent on someone e;ses indie label (Koch)....which is still cool but he just needs to stop frontin'.
