Now when you say "historic" does that mean several years down the road I'll be able to pick up a history book and read about the Civil War, WW2, and the Bobcat interview?

The kind of history you are referring to is U.S. History. You will never find music history mixed with typical U.S. History unless its Blues, Jazz, or early rock n roll. Hip Hop is still a little too young for that...

However, I use the historic word in terms of Hip Hop. Considering that the stories told by Bobcat were over 20 years old it is "history" to a lot of people out there that were not born yet or way too young to remember.

And also considering that since the time Kool Herc touched a turntable, Hip Hop is 30 + years old. 20 years from now it will be a solid part of U.S. History.
