SWP looked like he'd been told not to try and skin anyone, he was mr conservative last night...

lampard...when is he gonna get dropped or subbed? he wasn't anywhere near as alert to players around him as usual, final ball around the 18 yard box was poor also!

phil neville...great return to the squad
woodgate...suprised me to be honest, shame he didn't keep that yard on Villa when he beat him to whip the ball in for the iniesta goal tho..
gerrard...reasonable first half
rio..looked assured as always, some impressive forward runs


regarding subs i thought none were that impressive, hoped micah richards would've had more effect, defoe looked sharp but he should've been in from the start instead of dyer.

all in all, mclaren has alot to think about before next months qualifiers!..need to improve the final third work desperately...

i agree that Spain are a great time but we lost cause we were so poor over 90 minutes, Spain lacked possession and flair throughout also, the difference was the unstoppable finish by iniesta...other than that the game was really flat....everyone in lie south stand where i was ignored the match for ten minutes in the match to watch a fight that broke out, was more entertaining!
