could it just rightfully and intentionally be a skit called "the next episode" and not the legendary mystic un-released track? haha

The skit is called Sam Sneed, or U Betta Reconize or something like that.

^ theres no way..

I'm in NYC and I got Doggystyle the day it came out on cassette and a month later on CD and both had Next Episode listed in the back  but were not on there, G'z Up Ho's Down is there, #18 on my CD, Pump Pump is #19 and Next Episode is #17 but its the Sam Sneed skit

so next ep is listed but it's just the sneed skit?

-T

basically theres 2 versions of Doggystyle

1 with all skits separated from the actuall songs and 1 with 13 tracks with the skits attached to the songs, i got the 13 tracks one, thats gangsta  8)
uh... never heard of a version with the skits attached the songs..

as far as i know there are 3 versions of the doggystyle cd.

1.. the version with gz up, hoez down and next episode listed.
2.. the same version with gz up,down removed from the cd, and the tracklisting fixed
3.. the digitally remastered version of '2'.

it may LOOK like the skits are attached due to the tracklist on the cd cover but the cd has more actual tracks

It was only on vinyl version of "Doggystyle" I think. I saw somewhere the photo of this LP and "Tha Next Episode" was on it...

but once more, just listed. not on the album

-T

eh?  are you just making this up tanjint?  the vinyl version doesnt have a tracklist on the sleeve..

i have an early pressing of doggstyle on vinyl.. and it lists every track correctly ON both sides. including gz up, hoez down and even the skits are listed.

yeah I got #1, skits are not listed on the back, but there are 19 tracks including the skits that aren't listed, G'z Up Ho's down is on the CD but Next Episode isn't. but when I put the album on my Ipod it listed Next Episode as #17 which is the Sam Sneed skit just before G'z Up Hos Down which is listed as 18 and Pump Pump as 19

im guessing they had trouble clearing the sample, but the song is definitely crazy I'd give it a definite 4.5/5. not as good as the top songs on Doggystyle, but definitely good enough way to end that album, back and forth rapping of Snoop and Dre is classic, smooth beat and Snoops flow on this is  :o

Yeah, its easy to tell T.N.E  is a skeletal beat. Well, the version we have now, thats not in CDQ. (Of course that is self explainatory since it is not in CDQ to begin with,) but I personally think T.N.E as a track would have found a way to fit in perfectly if Dre finished the production on it. However, he probably didnt fuck with it, and the reason for certain we may neve know but I'll just go with the popular obvious and say it was probably sample clearance. I just know the same sample was used by warren g on regulators.
