Who seen the Raps/Lakers Game lastnight?
« on: February 10, 2007, 08:16:21 AM »
Great fuckin game lastnight, I was in attendance, and the place was rocking!  I know NIK must have watched it.  What did you guys think?  I was nervous down the stretch, I thought LA was gonna come back and win.  Good win for the Raptors against a good team.

Toronto is creeping up on the Cavs and Bulls, and now have a better record than the Pacers.

yea, he's a great defender. we haven't had a defender like him in a bit. it's really cool to see how much a player can benefit from playing in europe a few seasons. he clearly matured his game over there quite a bit. i've actually been following a bit of european basketball over the last few seasons (my fav. player has been there for 3 seasons now), and it's really not that bad.

It was a good game at the end, Lakers made a nice comeback in the 4th, but we didn't have enough fire in us on the back-to-back to close it out...Raps did a nice job, no answer for Bosh, but that's usually Kwame's job. :-\

It's lookin like Raptors are serious about the playoffs this year, that's pretty impressive. Lakers, on the other hand, haven't really been dealing well with all the injuries as of late. We really need to play cleaner basketball and Phil should have his fucking rotations figured out by now (but I guess it's hard when you lose a player or 2 seemingly on a weekly basis)...PeACe

Lamar was matched up with Bosh quite often during the game.  Hes a better defender than Kwame IMO, especially guarding a player like Bosh who gets most of his touches outside the paint.

how so?  Bosh is to quick for Kwame to guard him on the perimeter.

LMAO. There is NO WAY Odom is a better defender than Kwame. Especially against bigs.

Too quick? Kwame is quick as hell too, he's not a slow big at all. have you even seen him play? Kwame has amazing man defense, and is excellent at staying in front of his opponent. He's capable of locking down the best bigs in the league, from Tim Duncan to Dwight Howard...Kwame makes a HUGE difference on the defensive end...PeACe

Duncan and Howard primarily play inside the paint, and if you notice, Bosh gets all his touches on the perimeter and has a better face up game.  Kwame plays better interior defence but I believe Lamar is more suited to guard a player like Bosh (both left handed too).
