Whats youre favorite MAck 10 record
« on: February 11, 2007, 10:17:37 AM »
I realy liked this dude before. I discovered him like Most of you threw ICe cube and Wscg what dyou guys thinik are his best solo efforts. Me myself is his work on Wscg but again its not solo. Oh ya im not gona include his last albums as ive been genraly disapointed ewith him and dint hear em much so i will only class the ones ive heard and given a chance.

BAsed on a true story - Cant argue that imo, BAckyard Boogie, ONly in California, Cant stop.

The recipee - Good album

MAck10 - Cool record, represents well the mid 90s of westcoast hip hop reminds me of Friday, eraly Wscg, When Dogg pound was also banging

The paper Route - This is when things went downhill for mack 10....I hated that Timbaland song and still do, not a lot of good jams on this.

It's a toss up for me between the first one and Based On A True Story. Hustlas Handbook is up there too.

for me its a tie out of the first one and bang/ball. "no dick at all", "hate in yo eyez", "connected foe life" because i have weird taste like that.

i think based on a true story for me. then it's gotta be mack 10, then hustla's handbook. don't sleep on his last 1 cuz' cube wasn't on it. it was his best since based on a true story. bang or ball & the paper route are horrible. to the post before me, i love those 3 songs as well, along with the 1 with scarface & X. but that's pretty much it, the rest is garbage. the recipe was cool to, but seemed more like a compo then a mack 10 album, although i'd still put it in front of bang or ball & the paper route.

1. mack 10 :overall his best album
2.bang or ball : not so consistant like mack 10, but there are some bangers on there (especially Connected Foe Life  is sooo dope)
3. Hustla's Handbook or Based on a true story (I need to listen both albums again)
....
....
....
Paper Route: very horrible album, def. his worst release

i really like it. to be honest, it depends if your a ice cube dick rider. if you think it's impossible for mack to make a good record, without cube, then no you shouldn't. if your open minded about it, then hell yea, i don't think you'll be disapointed. it's got guests like nate dogg, red cafe, b-real, butch cassidy, chingy, etc. to make things even better, fredwreck is involved on every song besides 2.

I dont think anyone needs Ice cube to succes lol. I just want Mack to have good beats and good rhymes i mean, Money route had Ice cube but had terrible beats.

1. Mack 10 (lil bit short but it delivers nothing but heat)
2. Based On A True Story (tight album, nice beats, lyrics are aight and nice guestspots, this has that westcoast feel to ti)
3. Hustla's Handbook (nice fredwreck/young tre productions, really smooth sound to it, just a good record)
4. Bang or Ball (imo best west/south collabo ever)
5. Ghetto Gutter & Gangsta (although it is a compilation it contains nothing but heat, lots bangin' beats and well lyrics are westcoast, nothing really deep, but it has this really nice sound to it imo)
6. The Recipe(on par with above, nice songs, but some filler on it and a lot guests for an album, i love the last part of it though (ghetto horror show until the end, except the record with big pun and fat joe, and the radio skit)
7. Presents Da Hood (not much Mack 10 involvement but still nice beats and shows Da Hood's potential)
8. Paper Route (not a mack 10 album, doesnt fit his stile and therefore feels *forced* imo, not bad though)
