about to delete east coast disc to Kuruption

I'm saving "if you see me", anything else I should save before I throw out this musical equivalent to lukewarm oatmeal?

hah, props for replying to the west and east version of this thread LOL

anyway, it's a shame too because Kurupt's verses are better than alot of verses he's done since, just the songs don't come together as classics. and it sounds like he assembled the most generic east coast rappers ever, he coudn't even get a full fledged wu member, just some unknown ass affiliate.

i bet east coast heads thought he got the most generic sounding west coast rappers on the west coast disc LOL

It just wasent great, i cant explain it. The beats werent terrible, the rhymes were decent i realy dont know why this album sucked.
The west side is not much better imo. I never bump any of these. Ill pull it out on a hot suny day once or twice a summer and bump we can freak it.

i like every track on the WC disc alot except put that on something. alot of daz's production is dark in a way that makes the quality very subtlem but once your ear catches the wavelength daz is on, it really works. Kurupt rips up fresh and c-walk

I didn't feel Kuruption at all. I found more tracks on Streetz Iz A Mutha to be good than the whole 2 discs of Kuruption. For some reason nothing mixed right on that album except for C-Walk and Fresh. Thats just my opinion though. I'll probably be dissed by all the super Kurupt fans now.

I don't remember any Wu-Tang affiliate being on Kuruption, who are you talking about???Also some Wu-Tang affiliates are just as good as the original members (or even better), I don't know, it seems like you're hating on the dude.I mean you've got La The Darkman, Killah Priest, 4th Disciple, Mathematics, Hell Razah & those are just the few of the many talented Wu-Tang afiliates.

he doesnt know much at all about the east, so cut him some slack.  But LOL @ him if hes also throwing buckshot and nore under the label of generic east coast rappers.  Then dude should jus stick to his dre and game cds

i posted a version of it in each.

5. If You See Me - Produced by Storm For Protect Ya Neck Productions. Written by Ricardo Brown, Norman Bell, David Ivy Ware, Grant Eldridge, Lionel Hunt, Thomas Cassidy,. Published by SHaron Hill Music/Antraphil Music (BMI)/Poison Clan Music (ASCAP)/All for the $ (ASCAP)/Jordan Universe (BMI)/Tre Bae Music (ASCAP)/Always Thinkin' Music (ASCAP)/Cassidy Music (ASCAP). Rap performed by Baby S, El Drex, Short Khop and Trigga. Short Khop appears courtesy of Heavywheight Records LLC/A&M Records, Inc., a Polygram company. Trigga appears courtesy of Proteck Ya Neck Productions.

I have reason to believe given the above that Storm, El Drex and Trigga (all participants of said song) are wu tang affiliates.

actually, what led me to look it up is that in the early babbling in the song before the verses start you can hear one of them dudes saying kiddingly something like "yeah you niggas is cool but Wu-Tang is the best..." and yeah the dudes do come correctly, not hating on dude.

the buckshot track is tight, i saved that one, "light shit up" but the noreaga one is naaaahh. and I know enough for myself I guess, I bought all the wu tang first wave stuff minus ironman/liquid swords (which is only due to financial constraints/ a refusal to download albums). I got biggie's first two records ready and life after, thought they were dope. I'm into all Nas's shit minus nastradmus. I like jigga's reasonable doubt, blueprint, black lp, and anything dre produced. as a west coast hip hop fan what do I need of the east besides those basic classics?

Sure Public enemy, run dmc, ll cool j and all that historical stuff but I've heard enough to know that I personally would find more historical value to those records than sonic experience you dig?

and it's not like like I didn't know about chuck D or who he or public enemy was (that post I made asking about the sample in 10 crack commandments that provoked you to make your snide remark in the first place) I know who they are, read enough to understand their importance in a historical context but I hadn't heard the record that chuck's voice was sampled...so that means I don't know about it?

I should stick to my game and dre records, maybe you should stick to oh I don't know, a non west coast forum? aren't they missing you at allhiphop or sohh or some shit?
