Rakim or Hittman
« on: October 14, 2001, 08:26:15 PM »
Let's just say that Dre is too busy(which he is) to release both of their albums and he only had time for one.

Which one would u choose and why???

I would choose Rakim because he is a legend and I haven't really heard enough of Hittman to say that he could blow up. I just heard that Primo will be doing some beats on Rakim's album. Just imagine Rakim over Primo and Dre.
CLASSIC!!!!!!!!

Rakim definately.  It wouldn't really matter as long as dre did it.  If dre makes the beats, I'm a happy man.

You thought I was gonna say Rakim, but nah, he's had his chance to shine.  I'd rather see Hitt come out and make his mark.

I'ma say...Hittman cause I'm a West coast junkie.  I haven't heard a lot of Rakim music, and I don't really like East coast rap.  Plus, the Hittman album will have more Dre beats, (if it goes through).  Still Rakim is second, then prolly Truth.

This Is Hard Becuase Even Though Rakim Is The Greatest Living Legend.... We Have Seen Him On Alotta Of His Solo Albums, Whereas With Hittman We Have Only Properly heard Him On 2001.....

So I Am Gonna Go Woth Hittman, Though I Would Like Some New Rakim Shit.

I can wait for Ra to drop but I don't mind Hittman droppin first; ANYTHING new from Aftermath (besides a soundtrack) with a whole lot of DRE beats is what I want. But I'm sure Em' next LP will drop before Ra or Hittman. And even though I can't wait for Slim to come back, it's a goddamn SHAME...

I'm a MAJOR 2Pac fan but Ra is the G.O.A.T. no question. I never really classify Pac anyway. To me, he's MORE than a rapper or an MC; he's a BLACK HISTORICAL FIGURE in my opinion and that's BEYOND Rap music. But I'd say that Pac is the greatest rapper (encompasses street credibility, lyrical ability, soundscan sales, overall success, cultural influences on Blacks, Whites and everything in between, longevity and legacy) whereas Rakim is the greatest MC... How about that? I'll post a thread on this by the way... Check it out...
