RAKIM!!!!
No discrespect to Pac, but out of all the albums he's released, only 2 have been solid.  Hell if Pac was still alive, you'd probably be on here talkin bout how hard he fell off.  Most of his lyrics are just mindless thug bullshit, and he wasn't even a thug anyway.  Just a pretender.  Rakim will ALWAYS be the G.O.A.T.!!!

True he has only two solid albums but he also has three classic albums in Me Against the World,  All Eyez on Me,  an Makaveli: Tha Don Killuminati 7 day theory

Ice Cube

And yeah, Bleech has a point...Pac's like the Beatles, he never gets old because he was out of the game before he started falling off, he dropped in his prime.

rakim is the greatest LYRACIST but he's not the best all around rapper he lacked alot of other things but was just the strongest in rhyming words...it's like Reggie Miller....probably the best and purest shooter in basketball history better shooter than jordan but that don't make him the best ya know what i'm saying rakim however is 2nd on my list so comparing him to reggie is kind've stretching it

but whoever said 2pac only had 2 solid albums and only rhymed about mindless thug shit is full of shit, lol

2pacolyspe now-solid album not classic but was definatly dopeness and  COUNTLESS DEEEEEEP songs

Strictly 4 my niggaz-4.5 mic album every song is dope with great early 90's production, deeeeeeeeeep and meaningful songs like papa song, keep your head up, last words...ect.

Me Against The World-classic album one of the greatest rap albums ever also the DEEEPEST and Most emotional rap album ever 5 mic classic

All Eyez on me-not as deep as the other album but 2pac at arguably his best also one of the greatest albums EVER 5 mic classic

Makaveli The Don Killuminati the 7 day theory -Pac's final and 3rd straight classic, pac mixes it up with his raw emotion and political rage along with such types of songs that put him over as the best, alot of Rap Publications actually consider this Pac's Greatest album and one of the top 5 rap albums ever

so i don't know what the fuck your tripping off of or if the only albums by pac you've listened to are the left over albums they released after he died, but to say all the VERY untrue is bullshit, i can deal with you liking Rakim more, HEY that's on you alot of people don't consider Jordan the best baller ever...but to make stupid accusations like "pac only had 2 good albums and he was shallow and ignorant" just makes you look retarted

I shouldn't even have to defend myself on this one, but Pac fans seem to take on the Pac attitude so I shoulda known better.  Pac was a guy that was out to constantly get respect from real gangstas on the street.  Most of em made fun of his ass the whole time he was alive, sayin he was too "sissy" to be comin that hard.  Ya'll should pick up the book "Have Gun Will Travel: The Rise And Fall Of Death Row..." for the real deal on Pac and Suge.  Just because a guy shot at a cop and raped some bitch doesn't make him the realest muthafucka out there.  Dre led a police chase and beat up Dee Barnes, and he gets dissed by everybody for not bein a real "gangsta."  As for Pac's lyrics, sure he said SOME good shit and made some good songs (I was a fan of his back in the day).  But the elevation of him to this godlike status is only because he is dead, either that or you guys are just satisfied with OK lyrics and wack ass beats, which is what most of the "new" Pac stuff is.  The old Pac stuff is classic, don't get me wrong, but to call him the G.O.A.T. is just ignorant, and shows alot of disrespect towards cats that were in the game and are still in the game long before Pac.
