Do any of you guys follow this?  Probably the biggest surfing contest of the year.  Looks like it will be streamed at cbs this year.  Does anyone know who the odds on favorites are yet?

yeah, Mavericks is basically the biggest surf contest of the year.  They wait till the waves are huge and then send out invites and the surfers have 24 hours to get there.  If you've ever seen how big the waves are you'd agree the competiion is bad ass

not a single guy here can surf??

anyway, contest is pushed back a month because the waves aren't big enough.  hopefully they pick up
