Nas recieves Rakim track produced by Dre....
« on: October 10, 2001, 07:11:58 PM »
I got this from the sohh board

Taken off soundcircuit.com boards

Peeped the new HHC today, even though it's officially the #1 fagmag out there they had some dope **** this issue. Brilliant Jay-Z interview, even better Suge Knight and Crooked I interviews, plus a ****load on Nas. They talked to Pete Rock who said he's heard some of the songs. One track focuses on a post September 11th planet (everybody's doing it), and Pete Rock couldn't stop raving about it. He also said he's contributed tracks to the album but doesn't know if they'll make the final cut. He also said Nas has done a track with Rakim called "Dirty Rotten Apple" which is Dre produced . Big L apparently has a new album out next year. Snoop's next LP is gonna be "Doggystyle Part 2". Drag-On is doing a movie called "Enter The Drag-On" . And Method Man is quoted as apparently telling a journalist - "I can't be ****ed to finish my album!".

Wow, that Nas/Rakim track is gonna be nice, Nas is like today's Rakim, or at least he was when he came out.  And you know Nas will have to come dope with Rakim on there, and the beat is supposed to be crazy, i am excited!!!

Damn, I didn't know that; that should be the BOMB... Nas and Ra over 2001-DRE???? U can't be serious... Now, NAS should utilize at least one Pete Rock track for Stillmatic. Just to have Dre, Primo, Large Pro and Pete Rock as a producers will RE-ASSURE fans... A lot of peeps wanna see NAS go back to the top (including industry cats and producers) coz in a way he stayed "closer" to the underground than, let's say, Jigga or DMX... (I LOVE both Jigga and X so don't throw rocks at me, it's only an opinion). Plus cats know he STILL got it somehow...

I'll believe that pete rock and nas track when I heard it. Last I heard about his album was that kayne west, dame grease and swizz beatz are on it. I really can't wait to hear that rakima and nas track. It's gonna be sick. I really hope pete rock produces atleast 1 joint off nas's cd. I'll cross my fingers.

I don't like that fact that snoop is naming his new cd doggystyle part 2. They could think of something better then that.......plus alot of peeps are gonna be let down for real if they are expecting anothing doggystyle.

Why does drag-on have a movie. He can't act. Did you see his role in exit wounds........HA HAAAAAAAAAA
