could someone please tell me a step by step process to format my computer? i want to format the whole damn thing, i got one HD, not split up or nuffin. windows XP pro.

and i also need some instructions to start the shit up again too.

1. just restart your computer with the windows cd and choose install whenever the menu pops up

2. its gonna ask if u want to create new partitions etc,

3. choose the option that creates new partition and format the whole damn thing

how did it go? when i tried to install windows on raid on my sata drives it was a right pain in the arse, but if u did a normal install it should be pretty smooth.

definatly recomend raid it already came in handy when i tried to install the latest bittorrent it messed up my computer and caused a one of my hard drives to fail, but after i got into safe mode and removed bittorent and relogged in to windows it rebuilt the failed drive so nothing was lost. After my girlfriend dropped my external media drive and broke it i realised i needed some better protection so when i built my new computer a put set up a terabite in raid, but as its raid its only half that i thinking i'm gonna add 2 more drives soon if i can make some room.

raid = 2 harddrives running like a mirror to each other, so whenever u save something it will save on both harddrives

sata = serial ata = connection for harddrive, its alot faster than ata
