Some people were complaining the way the voting was done in the first round (even tho most of them agreed to do it this way). So i was about to start the second round and i was thinking is everyone still down with this. Cuz it dont take a lot of time, but it still takes time to do this (i dont mind doing this, as long as people are interested). So Jamal made some legit comments in the other thread, i can understand where hes coming from. Its just not right seeing Schmeichel taking the GOAT spot instead of Yashin. You also saw the people that know Yashin all put him in the #1 spot.

But the thing i wanna know is, does everyone still agrees to the way the voting goes. Were only at the first spot, so no harm done yet. I dont mind changing the voting system if someone has a better idea. So gimme some feedback.

Well I'm assuming we are doing full backs seperately to center backs, in which case everyone should just pick two full backs and the two with the most votes win the two positions. I don't think there is a need to pick five each or anything like that.

Mate im happy with the way it is, this is the dubcc hall of fame. Its irrelevant what players have previously been voted the best player in there position by the media or other players. There not part of dubcc, its up to us to decide and just because one player misses out it shouldnt be a big deal. Im not going to worry if pele misses out because its a voting system by dubcc. Thats why its the dubcc hall of fame and not the "widely regard hall of fame". Im not having a go, i think your doing a good job at sorting this out but i dont see the point of changing.

If you're going to pick one player for each position (separate poll for left midfield, center midfield, right midfield, etc)... make it easier and more effective by just having every person vote for 1 player they consider the GOAT... the player with the most votes wins.... if 2 or more players tie, then just create a poll.

But if you're going to just have people vote for the best midfielders (whether it be 3 or 4), then just do it the way you did it with the goalkeeper one... where you assign points to different ranks... and the 3 or 4 with the most points, win.

There's nothing wrong with what you did the 1st round (for goalkeepers)... I only said it was ineffective because it's only 1 player/1 position... so it would make more sense for people to just vote for their GOAT aka the #1 ranks in each person's list.

nah because everyone could pick two diferent full backs and then no one would be chosen. Thats why you have to pick five so you can have a scoring system.

Yeah... what I meant was when it's only 1 player per position... if you have more than 1, then scoring system.

Yeah not everyone will be happy with the results, I never had either goalkeeper in my top 5 list, and a 'true great' may not be in the DUBCC Hall of Fame but it could be said that everyone knows the true greats

I don't think the idea of picking just one player would work as we could have a list of 10 different people picked the same amount of times and only one player picked more than the others so would we then have the 11 people in the poll?
