I went to an Okupa last night, had a fucking psychedellic blast. This shit never happens in the U.S. this just reinforced my conclusion that Europe > USA. I donīt wanna go back

im off to belgium to work for a month in April, then will probably spend 2 weeks or so travelling around afterwards

See, I have been to Florida twice and love it over there, its a different world to the one I live in at the moment.  But, to be honest, I doubt anybody would go away and then come back and say it was horrible and they hated it, unless they did really really really hate the place they went too.

well at the end of the day, you just love the place you're from, the place you was raised at, the place that shaped you... even if it's not even that great after all. at least I do think it's the case, there's no other way you can explain all the people who hang onto the place they came from and/or (would) like to stay there even tho it's objectively less well off. whenever I travelled, I enjoyed the different culture, people, food, weather.. but at the end of day, I couldn't imagine myself to live there for the rest of my life or anything like that.
