Whats goes around comes around.... these record companies were gaffing us for years until like 1998... when we started downloading mp3s.

I couldn't tell you how many cds I bought back in the day with only 3 or 4 good songs and the rest being filler... illegal downloading is due in part because of the industrys arrogance, they don't listen to us, they want to decide for us what's hot... last time I checked album sales are flat...

And I mostly download classic hip, albums I've bought and rebought many times. The artist got my money for that cd years ago... that's  why I never feel bad when I download an album I bought years ago (heck I don't feel bad when I download anything... lol)

it's just that the musics do different things in general.

east coast rap is like poetry whereas west coast rap is like music. east coast rap see their forefathers as the early rappers like Run, LL, Kane, PE, Rakim, etc. whereas west coast rap see their uncles and forefathers as Rick James, George Clinton, Roger Troutman, Stevie Wonder etc. you know?


not completely defending his statement, i've bought a lot of east coast rap, but I'm just saying that's why alot of west partial cats have that attitude.
