I wonder whats up with Zach Randolph?

PORTLAND, Ore. -- Portland Trail Blazer forward Zach Randolph has been granted bereavement leave effective immediately, the team announced Monday.

No details were given. "All we are saying is what was issued in the statement," Blazer spokeswoman Robyn Jamilosa said.

The team announcement said Randolph, their leading scorer, will rejoin the Trail Blazers at some point during the team's upcoming four-game road trip.

LOL. He left because his girlfriend's cousin died...Then he was spotted duckin' out a strip club without paying the bar tab, while still on bereavement. :-X

Trail Blazers coach Nate McMillan said that everything is working so well for his team right now that Zach Randolph will not rejoin the starters upon his return from bereavement leave. Portland plays again on Monday.

LaMarcus Aldridge and Jamaal Magloire have played very well up front in his absence, but we have to wonder whether this also has something to do with reports that Randolph went to a strip club on his leave and didn't pay a $106 bar tab. It would be shocking if Randolph came back and did not play 35 minutes a game, but he's one of the last Blazers with the character concerns from which the team has tried to distance itself.
