the word world class gets thrown around a little to much for my likeing, yes lampard is a good player especially in the premiership but world class no. If you were picking a world 11 team right now you pick him in centre mid ?

 If he was world class id like to see him in an england shirt take control of a game and drag england out of the mess they are in, similar to what beckham did against greece and what gerrard does reguarly for liverpool.

Lampard is one of the reasons why england struggle because they try to accomodate him. I hate to say it but gerrard is better than lampard, and gerrards best position is centre mid. They have finally realised you cant play lampard and gerrard because you need a ball winner e.g. hargraves. For some reason though they then decide gerrard should then play out wide to accomodate lanpard, when really lampard should be dropped. You cant move him because technically he isnt good enough to play out wide. Gerrard then plays out wide but really just wanders inwards and crowds the midfield , where if you played gerrard in the centre and played lennon out wide who has improved a lot you would get a better shape. Gerrard could drive from the middle while hargreaves holds and lennon can hug the touchline.

Im turning this into a whats wrong with england now which i could write an essay about easily. I cant say lampard is world class because he is not even the best centre midfielder in the premiership let alone the world.

lets take away the penalties and deflected free kicks. When he doesent score his overall contribution isnt good enough, some times he is non exsistant. Lampard is good but there is a habit in the uk especially in the media to build a player up to be a lot better than they are. Then they wonder why england struggle.

4, Liverpool are shite compared to Gerrard

Actually, it was a fact Beckham ran  A FULL MILE more than anyother player on the park that game.

Lampard is good, not anywhere near world class. Kaka, Ronaldinho, Gerrard, Eto and Cristiano Ronaldo are world class.

England are equally shite when they force Gerrard wide and play Lampard in the middle.
