Cause i am Quik..  :o  :o  :o  :o  :o  :o nah just Fuckin with yall .. but its cuz i was checkin under google and Shit.. and ran into this page where it mentioned it.. and this is what it said....                       DJ Quik first came on the scene in 1991, spitting hard and fast rhymes about tonight and Compton, while rockin’ a long jheri curl. Fast forward to 2007, he’s dropped the DJ, permed the hair and reunited with long-time friend and collaborator AMG to form hip hop’s newest group and production company, The Fixxers. This is a transition Quik feels is a part of his natural evolution as an artist.

“Good artists always find ways to reinvent themselves. With The Fixxers I have combined the old with the new…..an updated version of a classic name, an old but new duo with a high resolution sound and new production company formed with a good friend. This is a part of my maturation process, because I’ve realized that I can put my guard down and let someone else in and let them do what I do without being worried they’re gonna take my spot. And I’m having a good time doing it!” tells Quik.

Quik and AMG first began working together in the early 90’s, making guest appearances on each other’s albums. They are probably best known for AMG’s 1991 hit “Bitch Better Have My Money.” Both artists released their first album in 1991 (Quik, Quik Is the Name and AMG, Give A Dog A Bone). To date, Quik has released seven albums, and AMG has released five. Both artists are seasoned professionals with a passion for writing and producing great music. Now, the California natives have joined forces again to breathe variety into an industry that is currently choking on redundancy.

AMG also feels this album is an opportunity to send more positive messages to youth. “The industry needs some variety, so young people won’t keep thinking its all thugged out this and get rich that. It’s not like that. There is more to life and if your goal is to make money we need more people encouraging them to do it the right way,” he says. The Fixxers is more than just a hip hop group; it’s also the name of Quik and AMG’s Production Company. Quik is one of the industries best-kept production secrets. He has ghost written, produced, mastered and remixed hundreds of songs and many times he was not given the recognition he deserved. According to him all that is about to end.

“I plan to use this opportunity to get my respect. I’ve ghostwritten and engineered well over 200 songs that have gone on to sell over 50 million units worldwide. That’s a big feat, and I deserve more respect than I get,” says Quik. “I’ve done some really serious avant-garde shit that’s been copied by multiple producers, but I’m not bitter about it. I hear it, and I think that’s dope because my point was received by the people it made sense to….that small legion of us called geniuses,” he adds. When asked about his partner Quik has nothing but respect for AMG, “We’re a lot alike. We’re brothers, and I don’t think the world has any idea how talented AMG is. But they’re about to find out. It’s gonna be hard to beat us now, because we’re at the top of our game,” predicts the veteran rapper.

The Fixxers have been in business since the later part of 2006, and they have already built an impressive roster of artists that include Rick Ross, Yung Joc, Tiera Marie, The Game, Jim Jones, Boyz N Da Hood, new artist Jay Rock , and more.

The first single “Can You Werk Wit Dat?” is in heavy rotation on the west coast now.

but remember Real good production can always mask average skills that an artist may have.. so in other words.. Quik being the producer that he is.. always comes with some Crazy productive type stuff.. and anyone that Raps over his beats.. comes strong i mean even Chingy.. sounded dope on "Get Down".. so just wait and see..

Damn I really ain't liking those guestspots. They fuckin with the south cuz they hot now but I think it would do him more good if he stayed true to Compton and just gave some beats to some southern cats. Plus he should fuck with some better southern dudes(UGK, etc)

i gotta agree... i really dont like most southern artists' delivery... never liked TI, but he sounded real dope over quiks beat on Trauma... so there may be hope for a good album

with that said, based on the first single, Quik's flow has got me shaking my head because he isnt staying true to his sound... to me, thats wack and borderline sell out

peace

Yeah U.G.K. is dope as fuck.. my favorite group from da south.. but yeah.. right now.. theyre doin what's hott.. just like AMG said.. theyre doin whatever is hott.. cause obviously the west realy isnt sellin right now.. other than Game and snoop.. but what game does is rap over Westcoast/new york type beat's.. but ya know.. just like AMG said.. Gangster Rap was hott back in da day.. and th8ats why they chose that style.. to make some cash.. and thats exactly what theyre doin.. right now doin what's hott..   but again.. they havent forgotten where theyre from.. ya know.. so be prepared to see a bit more from da west.. but from what i remember this isnt the only time Quik has changed to other styles other than Westcoast.. if yall remember.. for awhile Quiks music Had that NewYork style.. durring tha time when NY was a bit hott.. withTalib Kweli.. put it in da air" a bit westcoast flavor.. but than there was.. "7:30" new york style right there.. also durring the time when he was workin with Shawn Anthony.. listen to some of the beats.. notice a differance.. but It still sounded good.. and even on Trauma.. song's like Catch 22 had that NY style aswell.. but ya never know.. some of yall may think this album dosent look all that good.. but ya never know.. the best is yet to come from Quik.. U will hear some very Creative Beats.. From the Fixxers..

^ I see what you're saying, but he always did say a New York style with his touch on it. That "Can You Werk Wit That" track sounds like they're straight biting the souths style, ya feel me. I think that's more an AMG move than anything.

True.. fa real that is true.. but remember.. Quik and Amg are a Production Team now.. so meaning they're like da Neptunes.. and play & Skillz.. cool and dre.. and so on.. ya know.. theyre a production team now! so i guess thats where the idea came from to make "Can you werk wit dat".. On AMG's part.. but im happy to see them winning.. right now.. it's like one of those stories where ur  goin for the under dogg.. but in da end dude comes up on top.. ya know.. and i've been a big Quik And Amg Fan for a long time.. from da times when he was one of the top ones.. when he dropped Quik is the name.. to.. when he fell under the radar.. after mausberg and topp dogg passed.. but it's good to see them get that recognition they deserve.. ya know.

like somebody said if your gonna be fucking with artists from the south, work with good artists. 2 the person who mentioned T.I., I disagree, he's amazing, but yes he did sound NUTS on that Quik beat. But that's also because he has 1 of the best flow's period. Fuck with T.I., UGK, 8Ball & MJG, Boys N Da Hood, Chamillionaire, Chingy, David Banner, Devin The Dude, Outkast etc.

And to the person who mentioned Chingy: I think if he puts his mind 2 it, he could really spit. That verse he had on Mack 10's "Ride Out" track off the hustler's handbook album was  :o
