also if you cant uninstall the Tool manually, you can dl this Tool remover software:

after you remove it make sure to Go to 'Automatic Updates' within control panel, choose 'Download updates for me, but let me choose when to install them." and make sure you dont install it again, uncheck the download 'Genuine Advantage Tool' option when ur about to update
