Kevin Durant & Arron Afflalo declare for NBA draft.

Durant is definitely going #1 or #2, depending on whether or not Oden spends another year in college...I'm really hopin' Lakers can scoop Afflalo up in the 2nd round though. I'd say they've had some pretty good luck with 2nd rounders. 8)

I don't understand why niggas like Durant or Oden even think about staying in college for another year... wtf. Obviously, they are already good enough to be picked at the very beginning, they will go to a team that sucks balls, which means they won't end up being benched and shit, they will make big money earlier, and they also do not have to take the HUGE RISK that they might injure themselves in their additional year in college which can fuck them up for life.

True. The fact is that you learn more from one year in college than in one year in the NBA. In college you can do trainings, works on your fundamentals, you can learn things. In the NBA you play every 2-3 days, you don't even have time to recover sometimes. But yeah, i think Oden is ready. He was been a beast against Georgetown in the 2nd half. He's such a dominant player that he should go to the NBA and compare himself with the best big men in the League.

...And maybe he's committed to winning a title for the school? Life isn't all about money, it's about the experiences that come along with everything as well...PeACe

Guys, your idealism is killing me. Anyways if he'd stay in college for one more year and ruins his knee in the process I couldn't feel sorry for him.

Notice how players like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar benefited immensely by staying extra years in college. Andrew Bynum would've been a first overall pick in last years draft with one year in college...And you get a chance to grow a lot more in college as well. It's not as irrational as you're making it seem...PeACe

I donno if Aaron should come out....I reaaaally don't know.

As for Oden or Durant...I think this is a special case where you can't go wrong drafting for need. I doubt Oden becomes Sam Bowie, so it is almost like Olajuwon and Jordan, even though they aren't as good. So if the Lakers had this pick, I'd take Oden....if I was the Celtics, I'd easily take Oden....if I was the Grizzlies, I'd probably take Oden....if I was Philly, I'd easily take Oden....fuck it what I am I talkin about, I guess I would pick Oden in any case that my team didn't have a solid Center. If I was Orlando, Phoenix, possibly Miami, then I'd take Durant.

Did you go away to college?  It was EASILY the greatest time of my life.  I gained more knowledge there (outside the classroom) than any other time up to this point.  Now don't trip, if I had a $50 million shoe deal would I have bailed after 1 year?  Most likely.  But you're trivializing the shit out of it.

And like NIK said, money ain't everything.  Life is all about experiences.

That's real talk. I got another year left after this... and I wish it hadn't gone by so fast. And you're right about the knowledge thing... inside and outside the classroom in my opinion.

Life IS all about experiences.... some people are just pessimistic, cynical fucks locked up in their room playing video games all day.
my throat hurts, its hard to swallow, and my body feels like i got a serious ass beating.

Yes, and I have yet to realize what is so damn great about it. Maybe the entertainment factor in the US is on another level, I wouldn't know. Anyways, I don't think those elite players get much of that "college experience"... for them it is already basketball all day along with the pressure that comes with it.
