If I don't know the number, I don't answer the phone at all. They can leave a message if it is so important. Telemarketers won't even waste their time leaving a message because they know they won't get a sale.

don't' they have a national do not call list in the states?  I just never answer the phone when it's an 800 or 888 number.  Or if it's from some weird ass area code in Arkansas or something.  I get telemarketers calling my cell phone now too.

Say they personally ask for you, just say that person doesnt live there anymore, and they will remove you from the list!

I remember getting rude customers and all i done was tick a box on my system which puts you back on the list and you will get called again!

I used to completely screw w/ them, but now I just turned the ringer off on my phone since people I know only call me on my cell phone and only telemarketers call my house phone.  So now the phone doesn't ring and it just goes straight to my answering machine, where my message is "You telemarketers are worthless and pathetic, get a real job."

yeah i did it for 2 weeks too in the U.K... LOL selling double glazed windows for anglian.

and their lists are dodgy, they used to tell us if we got the wrong name, ask them their name and keep goin... lol
