gm of the year: Bryan Colangelo, who would have thought a few years ago that the raps would ever get back to the playoffs without vince carter and tmac.....now they're challenging  for 2nd seed. i dont' care if ti's the east, that's impressive work
defensive player of the year: josh smith....pretty much an automatic
rookie of the year: brandon roy.....an automatic as far as i'm concerned, he's practically a staple on that team
sportsmanship : it's a toss up between ron artest , bruce bowen, and rasheed wallace... NOT to win it.  ? i don't know, i don't keep track of who's acting proper on the court.

How can you consider a 3rd overall pick who averaged 12 ppg in his rookie season a bust? Give the boy time to learn the NBA game...LOL. Not saying he's great, but his rookie season has been somewhat decent...PeACe

Well, his has been a candidate for the Nr. 1 spot for months and 3rd overall pick is pretty high. The bobcats are a team that is overall not very good, a team on which he had full room to develop just like LeBron has in Cleveland. Given those circumstance, I think he sucked major balls. Less than 12 ppg as a starter in 30 minutes is NOT good, his FG% is absolutely awful, his rebounds are terrible for his size. Herrmann >>> Morrison right now imo.

Well, Herrmann is definitely playing better than Morrison right now...But you can't really label someone a bust in their first season though. Morrison is shooting a field goal percentage comparable to Jason Richardson's, but he also shoots a lot of threes too. Dude was a candidate for ROY his first couple months this season...So yea, I dunno about labeling someone a bust this early...PeACe.

Comeback Player Of The Year- Amare. Come on guys, you have to admit. NO ONE expected him to come back like this, especially here in this forum. Love him or hate him, he did his thing this year. I also would like to give a Against All Odds award to Kobe Bryant. He overcame a witch hunt, elbow room and the morality police and put up monster numbers.
