We all know about the diddys and the will smiths, fat joes, baby, weezy, and I hope most of us know dre hasn't written his own verses EVER haha... i don't know about that but for a long time neway...

Do you guys know who from the west who is ghostwritten for or does ghostwrite?

I know snoop gets alot of his stuff written... DOC did a bunch of those songs of tbct but does anyone else know who writes for him?

And I heard Crooked I did some writing for kurupt over at death row... but rupt' didn't come out with much and from what i've heard you can't really hear any smilarities that would hint at crooked writing his verses.

Also read on here that quik didn't write his infamous diss track to eiht...

But people on this forum must know of who does the writing and who is written for on the westcoast?

knoc wrote some dope ass verses for those artists

his talent was being able to adapt to each artists' style. When he ghostwrites for an artist it's difficult to say "that aint dre or xzibit writing, it sounds like knoc"

I don't have the cd in front of me, but I know Snoop thanked his ghostwriters in the NL Top Dogg inlay... I believe it was Bad Azz and Tray Deee or Kurupt.

Plus I think Hittman and Kurupt were both credited on Just Dippin'...

MC Ren, Ice Cube, DOC, Snoop, RBX, Kurupt, J Flexx, Sam Sneed, Knoc-Turn'al, Hittman, Eminem, Royce Da 5'9 & Jay Z have all written for Dre, and there's probably more.

I heard Roscoe and Kurupt have written verses for each other, and if u remember when "It's Over" came out, Kurupt said he and Natina wrote each others verses.

some rappers are sonic instruments, not lyricists.

like snoop, one of the sickest rappers ever, but he's sick because his sound, not his words. I don't discredit him at all for that, better to make sure your shit sounds good with music. lyrics is for poetry, when it comes down to it and that's what makes it acceptable to me.

also, producers that people like to see rap like dre and warren, I see no problem with them getting ghosted for cause they're producers. I think dre would never rap if people didn't want him to so bad.

hah, dre's just dippin verse DOES sound like a hitt verse, that's tight.

i like when dre gets ghostwritten for because based on the knowledge i've gathered it seems he has a say in the content of the verses and then his protege at the moment applies their style to it, dope shit.
like his shit with eminem, his verses sound so eminem-ish but I like it.

ye i knew all the dre ghostwriters.... i definitely lose alot of respect for the guys who never acknowledge they have writers.... like i liked how snoop said kam n doc did some of his shit and he has always credited bad azz n all his homies for doing his shit.... u can tell who writes for people like dre n snoop n warren.... coz warren is definitely weak... i thought his shit on the hard way was wack as fuck on alot of it... lyric wise... but i didn't know sam sneed wrote for dre... i wish he still rapped he was fuckin sickkkkkkkkkk
