I still think Canibus can lyrically rip most MC's in a FREESTYLE BATTLE without a doubt. IMO, all of LL's disses were weak compared to 2nd Round Knockout, but so were Canibus' when he tried to comeback. It's a shame a tight lyricist like Canibus has not been able to have a break through album to put him over the top. His production is definitely whats hurting him, and until he gets some tight production he'll continue to struggle, peace.

There's more to a good hip hop artists than being able to freestyle.  His albums suck which are proof of that.  His lyrics are generally rubish (IMO) and he has an annoying voice.  Plus hes a nobody so i just wasted 30 seconds.

I'm a hardcore Pac fan and I love Em to death. Em is one of the sickest lyricist ever (yeah, I SAID IT!!!!) and, fuck that Dre shit, I believe Pac would have respected Em as an MC...
Now back to Canibus. I let all y'all post your thoughts before gettin at it and some of y'all saw the point. There's no question Canibus is a sick ass lyricist; he got rhymes for days and his voice alone stands out among rappers. BUT I'll never buy ANYTHING he does coz he's so fuckin' STUPID, it's almost a shame he got so much flow. Dissin' LL was already idiotic coz LL is one of Hip Hop biggest legend. Now, dissin' Eminem for no reason whatsoever is the dumbest shit he could have ever done. I remember reading an article where Em said he respected Canibus as a lyricist when asked about Role Model (which by the way is NOT a diss towards Canibus). Plus Eminem is one of the very few rappers who can lyrically fire back with something extremely painful. Bottom line, Canibus already lost that fight and he won't sell one fuckin record with his diss joint since most of y'all will download it anyway... Moreover, Canibus career is over and I'll tell u why: coz he ain't focused on the prize and let his fuckin time pass him. Everyone who dropped in 98 blew: DMX, Pun, even Cam'ron to some extent. Nowadays Canibus ain't got no real "friend" in the biz. No dope or respected producer (Premier, Alchemist...) will align himself with Canibus right now coz people are tired of stupid beef. Bpg, i have negative shit to say towards snoop because he ain't makin tight dope music like he used to which is the point i continuously ram down peoples throat...i'll give it to him, he does come out with a few awesome tracks every cd ex. lay low, hen and buddah...but it ain't enough...even doggfather was an amazing album compared to what he makes now...if you break down lay low you will realize snoop did nothin to that track but spit like 16 alright bars...what made the song was the dre beat and nate dogg period...snoop is overexposed with all these new joints and people are getting sick of hearing the same old shit because let's face it, he doesn't usually rap about a variety of things, his rap boundaries are very limited...oh and as for canibus, he's still one of the illest in the game...his cd's didn't suck lyrically but beat wise they were underaverage, peace.
