I got a 2 disc set already from tha releast last summer..lemme find it real qucik

I really wish Death Row was pressing these up and selling them with the logos and credits
yeah but atleast this is better than a fuckin download link...it still gives you the feeling you are buyin the real deathrow album...the kurupt ep and the petey pablo labum are even listed on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_Row_Records as official deathrow albums......which is not probably not far away from the truth
fuck a shady ass download link...

"The sales on this have been dissapointing to say the least. I guess the people who posted saying they were going to buy it just wanted theyre post count up

Anyways if this doesnt pick up we will cancel this release and issue everyone a refund. Its not worth it to us or Tha Realest to put this amount of songs out there only for people to leak it when its not even bring in much $."

You want to know why FTP, ain't no one want to hear that lame ass Realest album... you guys pick all the wrong projects to release.

Not only that, $30 for a CD-R that anyone up in this site could burn themselves and print out a cover too...

If you guys are really "for the people" as in for the streets why you jackin' dudes with these prices? Just drop the damn music and stop eatin' off artist's who were unfortunately not able to put their music out.

to me it just seems like now a days everybody wants something for free. $30 works out at about £15 which is cheap for a double cd in the uk, so id have no issues paying for it if i wanted it which i dont . Especially as for the people have said " Its not worth it to us or Tha Realest to put this amount of songs out there only for people to leak it when its not even bring in much $." which to me suggests that the realest will be seeing some of the money from each cd sold anyway. So buying the cd will help the artist, plus i dont see the issue with paying for this. For the people are providing a service in making this available so they should be rewarded.

Well if The Realest is seeing some money, that's cool... and I don't doubt that  you want to hear the album, but the numbers speak for themselves... it's not selling... no one sees it as a worthwhile purchase.

However, I will agree with one thing... everyone wants something for free these days. I mean damn, half these little kids out there will never know what it's like to run to the music store each week to buy the latest album. Now-a-days people are just satisfied with downloading. I don't care what anyone says, 50% of people (or more) that download the album DO NOT go out and buy it. If they did, the numbers would be higher...

Ya for this project the artist is seeing the money. I plan on buying this Realest disc I just haven't gotten around to it yet. I'm debating on getting the Petey Pablo one, but there were some songs I was surprised by and was pretty into on that sampler so I'll probably cop it.

Say what you want about the other releases but FTP did not eat off the OFTB release and will not eat off this Realest project. I don't see it as being greedy if FTP is involving the artist when he gets the opportunity to. Sure he gets paid for the web design and the pressing of it which he should be but he's not seeing money off each sale on the releases with the artist.

And yes, I've had countless arguements with people on forums about downloading vs. buying. MP3's are so easy to download and get these days people take it as a given that they should get ANY album for free no matter what. I don't blame them in particular, it's more of society's fault than their personal fault for having that mindstate. Most of the people that feel that way never knew what it was like before IPods, high speed internet, cd burners, and mp3's. I'm only 22 but I lived through that era. What you kids know about dubbing cassette tapes? What about a 14.4k dial-up internet connection?

They were raised right into the world of mp3's and cd burners so they never knew about when everybody had to buy music if they wanted to play it. And with the technological advances the quality of the music has gone down as well. The music industry is fucked up right now, and it's not just the industry, it's also the consumers. So it's like what the fuck can you do?

GOOD POINT KURUPTION, WE WOULDN'T BE SEEING THESE SONGS IN CDQ IF IT WASN'T FOR THESE GUYZ. NOW MOST OF THE SONGS R OUT THERE BUT IN BAD CDQ, BUT YEA THE BEST SONGS R BEING KEPT IN THE VAULTS TILL THESE NIGGAZ PUT IT OUT, WHICH MAKES IT WORTH IT AS LONG AS IT AIN'T 150 DOLLARS A CD LIKE BITCH AZZ DANTE..............

I'm not a fan of Tha Realest, so I'm not shelling out the money just because its unreleased.  Actually, if you look at that list they put out, the only ones that would even interest me would be the Danny boy '96 album and Crook's album.  I could give a fuck about a Dr. Dre instrumental album.  The Nina album should be interesting because that "Too Street for TV" was actually pretty decent and should be interesting to see how Crook's ghostwriting went.

The name on the release has apparently changed back to "Death Row Dayz."  Likewise, the artwork has also changed back to the originally planned album cover.  I know there has been some controversey on this site about whether or not these projects are worthwhile, or whether they're a rip off.  I'm not going to say anyone's opinion is wrong.  I know there are some people that can't afford to spend $30 on a cd.  And I know there are people that flat out just don't like Tha Realest.  And I understand where those people are coming from.  But there are a considerable number of us who have been supporting these projects, just because we want to see more like them released.  If this ends up being released and it leaks (which I'm sure it will, if it comes out), I ain't gonna hate on anyone who downloads it.  That shit's bound to happen anyway.  I'd just like those who might be interested to at least consider picking this up, if you've got the extra money.  It really will mean more unheard music, down the road.

Quality means money. These half ass releases don't mean shit to me, if Death Row puts out unreleased Dre material, Snoop material or whatever i'ma buy, i don't buy shit of fake 2pac clones and shit. I ask "nobody buy this" for the simple fact you don't get what you pay for. You waste $30 for some bullshit, just like the Kurupt EP. Period.

That's fine.  I respect that opinion.  If you're not a fan of Tha Realest, this release obviously isn't for you.  And I'm not one of those people who think $30 isn't a lot of money.  But, there are some people who are collectors and pay a lot more than this for unreleased music from Tha Realest or anyone from Death Row for that matter.  So this release may appeal to them.
