i'm not sure, that's why i'm asking. I don't know of any albums.

I think they are the same, because on warren's return of the regulator album, track 2 features "toi" and writing credits for the song say L. Williams.

hope you had a good time 8)

I thought Ms Toi is the rapper from the group Militia and did the song with Cube You Can Do it.

Does the credits say "Toi", or "Ms. Toi". I think there might be some confusion there.

Hell I always thought they were different - Ms. Toi was the rappin broad on the Ice Cube joint from Next Friday.  LaToiya Williams is the R&B chick from Dogghouse.

Shit I don't know though.

Not the same. Ms. Toi is a rapper/singer. She was in a group called Militia and she did the hook for You Can Do It for Ice Cube and Mack 10. Latoyia Williams is a soul singer, she does NO rapping at all. She has been on numerous hooks and had that Fallen Star song on Doggystyle All Stars. I am basically repeating what We Fly High and Jrome are saying.

Ohh. Pretty dumb by Warren or Universal to credit her as "Toi" since Ms. Toi was already known at the time. Plus since both are from the west, and work with similar artists, it's easy to confuse them

It is as said before, but I'd like to point out that LaToiya is not only credited as Toi on 'Lookin' At You', but on more of her earlier features. She appears as Toi on the soundtrack of 'The Wash' as well.

Your question does make clear why the name was probably changed though; it was confusing for some to have a Toi and a Ms. Toi.
