I have to say Lebron for all of them, don't get me wrong Wade and Anthony are GREAT players, I just think the kid is a step above both.

I feel you. However...what would you say if Lebron never won a championship, or if he did, but wasn't MVP?

That's a hard call. More than a couple of the NBA's all-time greats never won a championship ( Ewing, Malone, Stockton, Reggie Miller, Barkley come to mind off top ), and there are many factors that would decide whether or not a player's team wins a championship.

Since Lebron is and will be the focal point of his team for years to come, if he doesn't take them to the finals, then you have to call his play out. At the same time, if he DOES win a championship and isn;t the MVP of his team, there is no doubt that he would be one of the top 3 players on that team. Alot of people don't seem to realize that your teammates have to be good in order to win a championship, one player can NOT do it unless Bill Russell finds the fountain of youth. On the other hand, Wade did win a championship but I don;t think I would ever consider Wade better than LBJ. Wade had Shaq and other great, time tested teammates to do it.

LBJ is hardier than Wade and his game is more controlled then Melo's. Melo is getting up there, just needs an attitude change and become a slightly better rebounder. I think g=he could catch up to James, while Wade's may be injury prone for his entire career.

Melo...He has the most skill (not athleticism) and gets the least hype. People who read ESPN and watch Sportscenter all day will say either LBJ or Wade...But like Garnett said, "you were fooled"...PeACe

1. As of now, who's the best overall player?
Carmelo Anthony.

2. Which player would you start your franchise with?
Lebron James. He has all the tools, but he still gotta play at full potential imho, cause he has still a lot to learn.

3. Which player will end up having the greatest legacy on the court?
Lebron James.

4. Which player will have the greatest impact and influence off the court?
Lebron James.

In the beginning it was all Wade/Lebron...I have a feeling when its all said & done people will realize Bosh/Melo are the most skilled.

1.  Wade: yeah he gets a lot of help from the refs, but the dude is cold blooded. At the end of the game he's going to do whatever it takes to get his team the W. Gotta respect that.

2. Lebron: when you have a 6'8 player with his strength, quickess, and precise passing - you start your franchise with him (although he needs to work on his free throw shooting at attempt to play some D)

3. Lebron: some of it will have to do with the hype, but hype aside, his numbers are great.

4. Bosh: next Tim Duncan...mark my words.

That's interesting. Thing is, back in 2003, I remember everybody talking about "Who's number one...Lebron, Melo, or some kid from Europe they say is better than both of them?" You would never hear Wade's name mentioned...and I even knew more about T.J. Ford than Wade. I always knew who he was, but didn't even think he'd be an All Star, let alone superstar, until the playoffs in 2004 when he was doing major damage...then I was like damn, he might be for real. The media also rode with Melo for the first year...but when Wade got Shaq, I guess it elevated his name, and then Melo had issues like refusing to go in, being on the DVD keepin it "hood", and gettin caught with weed...while D. Wade and Lebron still kept their "perfect" images...so after a year and some, you started hearin more talk about Wade than Melo.

As for him havin more "skill" and not athleticism...that definitely makes sense, but I don't know if I'd agree 100%. He is definitely a better shooter, and is more clutch, but he isn't as good of a passer or playmaker at all. On defense, I think he might put more effort forth, but Lebron still looks like a better defender, which is probably due to athleticism and not skill.

Bosh will have to drastically improve his defense before he can be considered the next Tim Duncan...

Playmaker, yes, but I wouldn't say LeBron is a better defender...Carmelo is a better scorer as well.

LeBron James

3. Which player will end up having the greatest legacy on the court?

4. Which player will have the greatest impact and influence off the court?
LeBron James

When it's all said and done, I think Anthony will be the best player, but it'll be between him and LeBron. Dwyane won the ring so his name will always be brought up, but is future doesn't look good with Miami. I remember nobody was talkinbg about Wade when he first got drafted, but that quickly changed his rookie season. But like BabyG said, don't count out CB4. I've been watching his career since the Raptors drafted him and know that he's finally on the radar people will recognize his greatness. Dude's got so much talent.
2003 was deep. LBJ, Carmelo, Bosh, Wade, T.J., Barbosa, Josh Howard, Luke Walton 8)

Here we go again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Apparently we are all complete fucking idiots who are fooled by the media, right Nik?

Besides Oscar Robertson, guess who the only player in NBA history is to average 27, 6, and 6 theree years in a row.  Hint: its not Melo or Wade.

Melo is the best scorer, but LBJ  is the best overall player, and of the three the only guy who is truly the focal point of his team.

Truth be told, all three are fucking amazing players, and all decidely different.  Melo had a great year, but just seems a bit more immature than the other two.  LBJ seems obsessed with money and becoming a "global icon", which is damn annoying.  And Wade, as of now, he is probably in 3rd out of the three, but only because of an injury plagued season.

I don't know if we will see another draft like that EVER.  And its good to see peeps back up on Melo this year, its like he fell off the planet last year of  something.  But he can't touch LBJ
